Stay Belonio

Great hotel, not sure why it’s a 2 star! Room was small but modern and immaculately clean. Staff are very helful, you get a detailed file sent to you to download when you arrive which gives you all the bus routes to where you want to go. Bus stop was a few minutes walk away, plenty of cafes nearby too. Would absolutely stay again.

Great room for a great price. Don't worry about the distance to the center - public transportation is quick and reliable. And check out Bar Juani down the block - great, and super cheap, tapas!

Very nice small hotel. Nicely remodeled. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Very quiet. Parking could be challenging but you are in Spain nothing new here. Only 10 minutes drive from the airport. Highly recommended.

I was very happy with my time at Stay Belonio in Malaga. It is a lovely hotel, the rooms are clean and well-decorated. The price was very reasonable. Isa, the proprietor, was friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for me, including booking the taxi to get me to the airport. I was impressed that as they don’t have a restaurant in the Hotel, Isa had a good list of restaurants to satisfy a variety of tastes in the vicinity. If I ever need to stay over in Malaga again, I will try to book into Stay Belonio.

Great stay! A fantastic place especially for the price. Room is exactly as advertised, great public transportation options and amazing service. Especially great for a quick overnight stay!

As a regular traveller I try to be fair and constructive in my reviews. I enjoyed my stay at Stay Belonio but with some disadvantages. First of all the property is in beautiful condition and the rooms are to a high standard with excellent cleaning with friendly helpful staff throughout. The room is however is small and if you are a couple it would be a struggle for space and storage. As the hotel has no dining options and the local area being well out of Malaga, not having a kettle in the room is a major negative. This is an easy fix as there is already a small fridge in the room so breakfasts would be easier to enjoy the lovely balcony. The hotel Is quite far out of the centre but the Number 20 bus usually running every 20 mins and takes you straight to the middle of the city in about 30 mins. From the airport an Uber is around 15 Euros. On the way back I got the number 20 bus then the train from Victoria Kent. You can buy a card for 1.9 Euros on the bus then it's only 4.2 Euros for a recharge for 10 x one hour trips. The local area is not particularly attractive as it sits on the edge of an Industrial estate but this didn't detract from my stay as the area was quiet. The biggest issue for me during the stay was noise especially between 11pm and 1am when other guests were returning back to the hotel. Generally apart from some I don't think other guests were being particularly loud but the noise between rooms and around the property transmitted a lot due to the thin walls.

Great location for a solo traveller with a car. I didn’t try the public transport options but there were lots of buses and connections to train. Highly recommend and would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely "apartel". The rooms are small but really well designed, gorgeous, and with a big beautiful balcony (at least our unit). The dining options and transportation is a bit limited but the charm, super friendly owner, and the proximity to the airport made more than up for it. Highly recomended!

The whole hotel experience was great

Arrived 2am, only to be woken up 6am. neighbouring apartment them again 8am by cleaners. No sleep. The walls and ceiling are very thin. You can hear every little thing, as if it is in the room with you. Impossible to have a good nights sleep.

They met us at hotel and got us all settled. Ran by wife and husband. Husband speaks English and wife speaks Spanish. Able to answer questions about area via what’s app. The property inside is gorgeous. Really well done. After walking all day in Malaga, I enjoyed the rain shower so much. We were able to take the bus around Malaga for cheap transportation (get a card at a tobacco shop a save money)

We had a super early flight from Málaga airport and this was an easy, very clean, functional, cheap option. The owners were super helpful in checking us in and arranging a taxi for us for the airport the next morning at 4.30am which all went smoothly. Given there isn't so much in the immediate vicinity it would have been nice to have some tea/coffee making facilities on site. Comfortable stay though and all very new and clean.

The room is small, but clean and well equipped. The staff was extremely helpful and it was a perfect quick day.

The hosts live on-site in their own condo and are extremely organized and helpful. Attention to detail on the property is superb—it is a feast for the eyes as pieces of art can be found indoors and outdoors—everywhere there is something delightful to see—from the ocean to the Rock of Gibraltar. Seating areas outdoors—a bbq, and every kitchen tool imaginable. Washer on-site.

Good communication pre stay. Helpful to have the number when the Uber was struggling to locate the address. Quiet neighbourhood..Snack bar round corner for tea, coffee shop around corner for breakfast. Quiet side street. Frequent buses to Malaga. Spotless property, good air con, lovely shower. Great
