Campanile Martigny

If you just need a place to crash- this will work and be just clean enough to feel like you’re not leaving infected with something. However staff isn’t there after a certain hour but the bars on the roof and first floor are open to the public still. We had a bunch of people running around causing noises and chaos outside our door for hours and with out staff to call on they didn’t settle down. Further the rooms are set up to feel nice but when you look at it the paint is chipping away. Corners don’t look clean. And the pull out bed still had hairs on it from previous guests. It’s a bare minimum hotel. Not even three stars in my opinion or worth the cost.

The hotel's location is great; there are nearby restaurants, and the village center is very close—it's a small village. There is parking available, which is free at night and paid during the day at a reasonable rate. The girl at the reception during the evening shift was very kind. When we first arrived, we found that the room's AC wasn't working well, but she changed our room and was very helpful and pleasant. The beds are comfortable, and the room and bathroom are excellent. My only observation is that, since I had read previous reviews where most guests complained about the air conditioning, I checked it upon arrival and found it wasn't working. We were moved to a room where the AC was functioning, but it wasn't cooling very strongly. Given that the temperatures were 27°C during the day and 22°C at night, I expected much better performance. I expect that if there were a stronger heatwave, the AC would be ineffective. Since the hotel is otherwise lovely, it would be great if they could pay more attention to the air conditioning system.

Don't skip breakfast - the best you can get in Martigny for your money

Overal pretty good. Parking was limited and suggested I pay for a day despite advertised at being available.

Kind of dodgy rooms and facility. Super cramped rooms, parking is confusing and not the best neighborhood. Was a mistake to stay there and we chose to leave one night early so we could find a better place for the next day.

Suited our needs well. Close to train station, shops and restaurants.

The late check in person was extremely helpful given we couldn’t work out the remote check in system.

Staff was unable to assist us when we needed to cancel our trip. They did not respond to emails and did not answer phone calls. We never received any refund or help.

What is the world coming to when a hotel is rationing you to 1 Nespresso capsule. I assumed was a mistake and asked reception for another and was told would have to pay CHF2 for each extra capsule!!!! Staff pleasant enough, lobby really nice and modern, rest of hotel and rooms a little dated. I stayed on 5th floor and is a musty smell, also a whiff of sewers as if not good ventilation.

Overall, all great. Much better quality than Campanile in France. Extremely nice reception staff! The only downside we experienced were too soft matresses.

This was a great hotel a pleasant surprise. Staff was very helpful. Close to lots of shopping and transportation. Will stay again.

Reception was efficient and good English spoken. Disappointed to find that there is no direct entry to the hotel from the car park. You have to haul your luggage all the way around to the front of the hotel. Restaurant was breakfast only at an extortionate price. Walked 100 yards around the corner to a very nice boulangerie for breakfast.
