Very convenient location. A small hotel rather than a bed and breakfast as the name suggests. There is no elevator so be prepared to bring your luggage up the stairs. Still it is a very nice place to stay.

Worst policy ever. We are tourists and we couldn’t get an early train to the city which means we couldn’t communicate with them that our check in was later than 8 pm. What they did to us, they didn’t allow us to check in and didn’t give us the money back, never happened to me , very unsatisfied with the hotel.

Apple Tree B&B is an easy walk to the train station and provides great value for your money. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Though the breakfast options weren't my favourite, they were included in the price and helped us out when we had to leave for a morning tour. We would stay again.

Great location as it is near train station. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Helped with carrying luggages up the stairs. They also allow us to keep the luggages overnight. Love the room. Big and clean. We love the breakfast too as we get to order what we want at a small breakfast shop right next to the hotel.

The B&B is really close to the main train station in Hualien and is very clean and safe. On the night I was there, there was an earthquake of about 5 on the richter scale and upon posting my experience on FB, I received a WhatsApp text from them almost immediately assuring me that things are ok and that they are in the B&B with me should I need any help -- how prompt and comforting! Esp as I have no experience with earthquakes, this gesture really helped. I definitely will stay here again when I return to Hualien next time

5 mins walk to Hualien Station, which is a bonus as we were leaving for Taipei the next day. We got a room at level 3 and the only way up is by stairs. However, the female staffs helped us with our luggages to our room. The room is very spacious and the bed is big and comfy. The hairdryer is quite poor, especially for ladies with long hair. The room also comes with breakfast voucher (choice of chinese or western food) which you can use it at the shops beside the accommodation.

Spacious room with queen beds , fit for a couple with kids. No elevator , our room was at 5/f, its tough to carry luggages.
