Room wasn’t the cleanest and had mold but overall it was okay

Bathroom had cracked tiles, mold on ceiling Dust on bed posts and under side tables

The room and bed are big but the rooms aren’t too clean. Bathroom has molds and we found a cockroach in the bathroom. Pillows are old. Bed is comfy. For the price and size, it is good, but if you want a place without mold then pick a different place.

A dated facility with excellent service and attention to customers. If you want convenience this is it - a block from the Taipei Station. A couple of things to note - our room has no windows which is fine. We also noted the beds are not long - our son is 170cm and he had to dangle his feet a bit which is not too bothersome for him but it maybe for some. Other than that we love the fact the hotel could group order traditional Taiwanese breakfast and have it delivered to the hotel (you have to pick it up) so you don't need to wait 45 min at the premise.

When we arrived, the room looked fabulous. It was very bright and spacious. 4 of the 6 days we were there, we had bug problems. When we told the front desk, they would not switch us to a different room, instead, they said they will let housekeeping know. The house keeping came and basically sprayed RAID in our room. The other complain was we could not attach to wifi in our room for lack of signal. When one of the workers saw my whole family sitting in the lobby on our floor outside the elevators (mind you, this was already three days into staying at this hotel) he went upstairs and brought us back a module to plug into our room so we could get a signal. That was nice, but by then, we had already used a lot of out e-sim since we didn't want to sit in the hallway at night. The only thing this hotel had going for it was the location as it was very close to the Taipei Main Station. I don't think I would return to this hotel on my next visit to Taiwan.

The room was neat and tidy when we checked in. But we were surprised to learn there was no housekeeping offered as we had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper. We brought our own bar soap. Staff was professional, courteous and supportive. Stellar customer service by Cindy who got us our Uber rides to Din Tai Fung as well as our ride to the airport. Bob was helpful as well when we checked in on our first day.

Location, but hard to find

Good location and price. Only a block from the main train station and lots of place to shop and eat. Has coffee and tea available with small seating area. Room is comfortable but the bathroom is elevated a step high so watch out. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful, speaks English well.

No windows and mould on the ceiling have somewhat taken away from the experience, otherwise fine.

The room was very clean, the staff was friendly.

Bed was average, too soft for us. Location was great- near Taipei station. However, our flight was early at 0825 hrs and therefore, we have to take a transport to the airport. The airport rail only operates at 0600hrs and we needed to check in at 0600hrs. However, hotel relax was excellent in arranging for our transport.

Nice location, tidy room, friendly staffs, but the shower hanger a bit broken

Everything is fine, except that you can only do laundry when there are staff members present, but that doesn't matter because there is a 24-hour self-service laundromat nearby.

The bathroom is extremely moldu and our room lost power for an entire night and part of the next day. Since there is no one at the desk 24 hours we had to get ready in the dark hot damp room. My friends room also had a cockroach as well.

Pluses for Hotel Relax One: 1. Convenient to Taipei Main Station MRT Exit M5/Z4. 2. Great water pressure. 3. Great towels--fluffy, clean, new. 4. Japanese style toilet, new and clean-looking with bidet, etc. 5. Breakfast stalls - just go out of the hotel, turn left, go just a few meters down the street. 6. On the 10th and 11th floors of a high rise. First two floors are McDonalds and a sushi restaurant called Sushiro, so additional food options there without even leaving the building. 7. Didn't notice any noise through the walls from neighbours. Cons: 1. Room / corridor / lobby areas smell--although we quickly got used to it and it didn't bother us past the first day. 2. Corridor / lobby areas have a grimy / dim look with stained furniture, etc. (There's a tea and coffee area that feels more bright and clean.) 3. While the room overall felt clean, the shower and toilet area had a lot of built up grime / mold / algae along the edges. 4. Elevator can be a bit slow and busy because the building is shared with two other hotels, a medical clinic, and some other businesses.

I was disappointed that the room is not clean daily even when i asked the front dssk for room cleaning. For 4 nights stay, the room was scheduled to be cleaned only 1 time as i was told
