I absolutely liked my stay here, as this is my first time to stay in the Longshan Temple area as well. It's not as crowded as Ximending but still accessible due to the close proximity to bus stops and MRT. I discovered that the easier way to go around Taiwan from this place is through Banqiao, and not through Taipei Main Station. I will definitely go back to stay here.

Perfect location in central old Taipei. Cannot ask for more for £27 per night. The rooms have a fridge and air conditioning, they're large enough to live with for a few days as you wont be spending much time in there. Cleanliness and staff were spot on.

Very clean hotel. Conveniently located, although hard to spot the sign indicating the hotel. It can be noisy at times due to other guests due to how the hotel is built. Step down into the room was a shock as there was no indication of it, plus there was a gap between door and floor which let light in. Staff were friendly. Reception says that it’s manned between certain times, reception is shared with hotel infront so it’s manned via camera. I would recommend this hotel, but being sleep mask and ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

This was not the best hotel experience. Not easy to find, no elevator and not the friendliest staff. I had to go up multiple flights of stairs with luggage and no help. Also, I was told when I was headed out that front desk would be gone by 10pm, and that I would have to manually open the doors if I were out past that time without further explanation. As such, I made sure to get there by 10pm. As same staff I interacted with since checkin was closing up, I asked if I could get in, and he looked annoyed thinking I was a new person checking in late. Aside from all that, nicely located right by the temple.

Entrance to hotel is not locked at all. Anyone can come in anytime. This is security issue especially with many homeless at the park nearby. Front door should be locked after hours with hotel providing key or card access. Only one key is provided and is a regular key not keycard. Mosquitoes and other insects inside the room. No elevator. Also some very disrespectful guests at the property being loud at 6am. I believe there are bunch of Filipinos staying at the property. They wake up at 6am and start yelling and running around like chicken with heads cut off. You don’t need a wake up call at this place, you have the so called “Filipino Alarm”. Avoid

Very reasonably priced in a great neighborhood right next to the Longshan temple and the Guangzhou night market, but aside from its price, the hotel’s got not much going for it. Decently clean bathroom, and sturdy bed. However, the worst thing about the room was the noise, as others have mentioned. Loud sounds of water moving through the pipes whenever other rooms are using water, and we had a loud cat in the alleyway that was bellowing its heart out all night - we were very tired so it wasn’t a bug problem, but surely the noises must’ve kept many others awake at night.
