The staff was kind and courteous; the hotel was quiet and offered great views of the community, and it was only a 6-minute walk from the Ximen night market. However, there was a seriously horrible ANT 🐜 infestation. When we arrived at the hotel, we noticed tiny ants outside our room door. We went to bed and woke up the next morning to find ants had infested our luggage and bags — not just a few, but a whole colony. We took videos and reported it to the hotel staff, who sincerely apologised and offered ant spray for our belongings- nothing more. However, since we knew this spray contained chemicals that weren't good for us due to our allergies, we declined and had to deal with the frustration of knocking off and cleaning out our bags. I was so embarrassed during our taxi ride to the airport, as ants were crawling out of my husband’s backpack onto his shoulders. Even at the airport, going through customs, I looked ridiculous trying to knock ants off him. Hotel management must urgently remove the carpet from the entire building, including the elevator, as it emits a damp, moldy smell. They also need to address the severe infestation issue. This negligence poses a serious liability for tourist and anyone considering staying there. Our 23-hour flight from Taiwan left us exhausted, and upon returning home, we had to wash, sterilize, and vacuum our luggage to ensure these ants would infest out home. A mediocre at best hotel

Public area messy, dirty, and and badly maintained. Room has weird design. Truly disappointed

Horrible for the money they charged, I mean a big cockroach flew over my face while I was sleeping how horrible can that get ! And cost for that service is just not acceptable!

This is a nice hotel. It’s my third visit. The staff are friendly and really helpful. It just felt as if the property wasn’t quite as spotless as in previous years. Bits of mould here and there on the wallpaper and behind curtains.

Lovely staff and super quiet inside but be aware it's getting tired and while the sheets and towels were good the overall cleanliness is questionable. Lots of dust in corners, any vent spaces and bathroom smelt like piss near toilet. I've stayed here twice but I will likely try somewhere else next time.

Great location. Stayed 10 nights. Would stay again. Windowless could be tough for long stays. I had a small window.

Not a bad place for an overnighter. Would not recommend for a couples stay. Shower and floors were dirty. Toilet seat was crooked. Bare necessities.

Conveniently close with walking distance to Ximending night market and shopping district.

Front desk was very helpful and nice.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again when i am back in town.

Dirty

Small, cramped rooms with a friendly staff who speak very limited English. Ximen MRT is very close but it’s not all that convenient when it is hot as hell outside.

It’s an okay place, you know you get what you pay for. What can I say-the room is tiny, there is no concierge, room service, etc. but is a decent location with lots to do nearby.

For this price range there are plenty of other choices in Ximending. The only positive going for this hotel is the sound proofing... Everything else is just bad or worse. The window is in an awkward position so you won't see it unless you purposely standing right in front of it. Then again, given the view outside of the window you most likely be thankful it is covered by a blind (see photo). The room in general is a old and tire looking. The bathroom is only partially covered by frosted window, thus if you are on the toilet your better half will see you. I fell down the stairs as we walked down side by side. The stairwell is not well lit. As you can see in the photos from above the green artifical grass looks leveled with the wooden floor board but it in fact is about 1-2 inches lower, thus if you step on the edge of the board you may end up spraining your ankle as in my case.

Amazing location. Spacious room, and bathroom, comfortable bed. A bit noisy at night. The floor of the room was not clean at all.

Staff was excellent, especially front desk. This review is strictly in regards to cleanliness of my room and my room only. Room had a lot of dust, small black debris( unsure what that was ), cohabits , and also discovered ants and a dead roach in the corner of the room. What made it worse, there was trash underneath the bed, as well as two open condom wrappers. All this was Discovered upon entering the room for the very first time, so obviously the cleaning individual needs to be more attentive

Housekeeping needs to be done early in the day rather than at night when we arrived from long city tour and quite tired.
