Wonderful service. Loved the spacious room and the garden balcony view was excellent. The buffet breakfast and dinner was also delicious. I loved doing yoga overlooking the gorge... amazing! The Wilderness School tour was also very interesting and my children enjoyed the archery a lot. Only wish we stayed longer!

We stayed 2 nights. This hotel is amazing for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I am from the US but I noticed most of the guests were (probably) from Taiwan, which makes me feel like it’s a highly popular getaway for citizens. They do have many activities, though staff told us that many of the activities may not be guided in English very much; that was okay with us. I did morning yoga each morning with the instructor Tsu-Wei, who was excellent. The yoga difficulty was somewhere between beginner and moderate, but she took the time to come around to individuals to help with form or offer alternatives to make the practice more accessible. She also very efficiently gave the verbal guidance in both Mandarin and English. We loved the breakfast buffet (included in our stay) as there were many options for traditional Taiwanese food of very high quality, and many western food options if you wanted them. We also liked the dinner buffet (an extra $50 USD per person) but not quite as much. We got room service for dinner one night, which was surprisingly high quality. Pool area is gorgeous with several hot tubs as well, though you can’t have food up there due to macaques and other wildlife potentially attacking. We did see some macaques! We respectfully kept our distance and they kept theirs. Overall, gives a very different and refreshing experience of Taiwan compared to the major cities. Highly recommend!

Fabulous pools, particularly the outdoor one which has fires burning on both sides of it. And all three hot tubs were excellent.

The best hotel to stay in if you are visiting Taroko Gorge. The gorge can be difficult to access given the current timed road closures, so long as you plan ahead, you shouldn’t have issues. We were given the option to upgrade our room to a balcony room type on the second level. It was a comfortable room. The bathroom was a generous size and had a large bath. The bedroom had two double beds, a small table and seats and a couch. There was a coffee machine and daily free mini bar. The balcony had a small table and chairs. The rooftop hot tubs were the highlight of the stay and a really enjoyable place to unwind after a day of hiking. The breakfast buffet was another highlight with a large variety of choices that changed daily. The dinner buffet was equally as impressive with a large variety of food to choose from. A lovely surprise was the happy hour which included complimentary beverages and snacks every day in the late afternoon. Despite the positive impression, for a 5 star resort we thought some aspects were lacking: While we could see the gorge river from the balcony, we could also see what appeared to be a muddy building site below. Our attempt at playing tennis was foiled as the tennis court appeared to be under renovation or abandoned.

Absolutely atunning property nestled within Taroko gorge. There are no restaurants or stores in the area to speak of, but no need for these at this Gorgeous resort with outstanding dining options and wellness activities such as yoga, spa services, and hiking. My advice to travelers: stay two nights rather than one because of the limited arrival and departure times. Also, review and plan your activities before arrival.

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was facing the gorge side and we could hear the sounds of the stream outside of our room. The hotel is peaceful and quiet. We took a guided tour from the hotel. Asser and Jiru were our guide. They were knowledgeable, informative and very thoughtful. They provided us bottled water and snacks. We visited a local farm and a nearby school. The students were all shipped out due to the earthquake last year but they would be returning soon. Our meals at the hotel was excellent. We were treated with the locally grown vegetables. So fresh and delicious. Will definitely return again

This was a 5-star property. The service was reflective of a high caliber resort. But it’s truly the grounds and view that are amazing. There is nothing like a swim and hot tub on the roof while surrounded by the amazing gorge with the background sound of a rushing river. Not to be missed.

This was a 5-star property. The service was reflective of a high caliber resort. But it’s truly the grounds and view that are amazing. There is nothing like a swim and hot tub on the roof while surrounded by the amazing gorge with the background sound of a rushing river. Not to be missed.

We booked a Gorge View Family room. It is spacious with stunning view. The staff are helpful and polite. However there are only 2 restaurants. So dinner is either Chinese food or buffett. Limited choices.
