Swiio Hotel Ximending

Not bad if you ate okay staying around a noisier area

At the check in the lady was very friendly and helpful. But on another day we tried to order a drink at the bar and the man didn’t even looked at us. The cleaner was very friendly. Overall it was a good stay.

Building is old, room is small and old. Sofas at the lounge is smelly. However location is good, Donki is just next door. Toiletries is provided and 2packs of snacks is free.

Outlook of the hotel not great to be honest, but the room was great! Soundproofing is so-so but service is thumbs up!

Stay was Ok. Got a Superior Room which did not mention that there is no window. Felt a little stuffy at times, otherwise hotel is basic but sufficient.

The overall staying experience is ok. It will be better if there’s a common area where we can share our food with our family or friends.

Room was okay but the washroom was a pleasant surprise. Looked chic!

Hotel less than 5 mins walkable distance from the mrt station. Just opposite the famous Ximending shopping district. Hotel is clean, the lobby staff are helpful and polite. No complaints from me!

The location of this hotel was very go right in Ximending very convenience but the rooms cannot block the sound good we can able to hear people upstair walking around and next door talking all night long.

First time in Taipei and Ximen area. The hotel is located in a building with multiple businesses and the entry can be hard to find but easy to find once you get there one time. The location is in a very busy area with lots of food and shopping nearby. Room size was decent and the AC was excellent. Bathroom was large but my shower leaked on the floor - seemed like the drain would not drain quickly enough. Bed and bedding are pretty comfortable. I was here for 6 nights and I wish there was more storage for clothing outside of drawer next to the bed. I asked for more hangers and the staff was able to give me more hangers at the front desk. The elevators can be tricky (one broke down briefly) and you have to share with other businesses in the building. My biggest issue is that I came back to my room with a friend of mine that lived with the city around 3:30PM on my last night and once we got into the room, I got a call from the front desk saying that they saw me come in with a guest and if he stays the night he would need to register at the desk. This just weirded me out because the lobby is on the 6th floor and my room is on the 5th. So not sure if they were watching me on a security camera or what....I don't have an issue registering a guest if they will stay the night but it was disturbing to be tracked by the hotel. The only other issue is that there is a lack of sound proofing in the hallways so you can hear people talking as they walk by.

Stayed for 1 night was perfect size for 3 people. Bathroom was good size and didn’t feel crammed in the bedroom part

The hotel was in a great location, but had a damp smell throughout the 5th floor and was particularly bad inside the room.

It was just a room, although it was small the bed was comfortable. Convenient place for those wanting tio experience Ximendine.

Large comfortable room. Location is right in the middle of Ximen. Very convenient for food and shopping. Friendly and helpful front desk.

Rooms are not sound proof and the toilet are squeeze. If not, the hotel is good and excellent location around the shopping area.
