The staff are excellent. Always pleasant, and very helpful and attentive. Breakfasts were wonderful with lots of choice. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful location - especially given how developed KoLipe has become (at times overwhelming). The only critique is that with the limit on lounging beds around the pool something must be done to give more fair and equal/equitable access. It is NOT acceptable that people could come out early, park their towels on the beds and aften would never appear til late in the day - if at all and/or stay for a short time but not remove towels to indicate availability for use by others There are a few small signs on a couple side tables but these are simply ignored. There needs to be more explicit signage ex. That beds left empty for more than an hour or 2 will be cleared by the staff to make way for others use - and adhere to this rule. This is a lovely high end resort that was a costly stay and it felt unfair that for the entire week-plus here were only a couple days that we could secure a space to lounge for a couple of hours.

Just thought it was really expensive for what we got. Staff wasn't really smiley except for the barmaid at the pool. She was friendly and good at her job. I don't expect to be able to take a shower like in Canada or in a city in Thailand as it's a small island, but there was barely any water pressure so it was like taking a bird bath (on a resort, for 250 CAD a night...). Also, they forgot to make our room the first day. All things I don't usually really mind for a fair price, but 250 CAD is a lot in Thailand, even for an island. Not that of a bad experience, but wouldn't go back honestly.

The Villas are really lovely with just the most lovely staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they want to do everything possible to make your stay wonderful. I would highly recommend the snorkelling trips - there is so much to see and our 11year old loved every moment too. It’s not the biggest of Islands and once you have visited the three beaches and walked the ‘walking street’ a few evenings there isn’t much to do except enjoy the tranquility and relax. I would highly recommend but a week on the island was enough time for our family before we had to leave.

We stayed in a beach front villa and were not impressed. Foot traffic from the pool, restaurant, etc. had to cross directly in front of the villa's deck to access the beach so there was a steady flow of people directly at our feet all day long. Also, the staff was not overly friendly or attentive. No on offered to assist us with luggage at check in or check out and when we notified the front desk that the soaker tub in the outdoor part of the room did not work, they apologized, but took no action. This most frustrating part of our stay here though (which was admittedly outside of the hotel's control) was the club further up the beach blasting music until 4am which made it very difficult to sleep. We switched to another hotel on the other side of the island mid-week and were glad that we did not have to spend the rest of our week in Koh Lipe here.

We had a great stay at Bundhaya Villa Beach Front Villa for 3 nights. It started off with their staff waited us at the immigration check in point, helped us with luggage to the reception. The Bundhaya villa is right beside the immigration so it only took 3 minutes to reach the reception. We were welcomed by orange juices and cold towels. The check in was easy with detail explanation of their facilities. The room is big and clean. Full of amenities such as hairdryers, robes, even mosquito repellent and mosquitoes body mist. The outdoor shower is awesome too, just the indoor shower need a change of the shower head. The view from the balcony is awesome. The stairs down to the beach just right beside our room. My husband and I’s first time in Koh Lipe Check in: the hotel couldn’t find my reservation for some reason but the staff was quick to fix it. The staff was also friendly and very helpful. The hotel was in good shape. Great location! a good walk away from Walking street. We booked the front ocean villa and it was amazing. The views were spectacular and worth it. The villa is very clean and the floors seemed newly waxed when we arrived. Water pressure was good. The toilet was clean and working very well. The inside shower tiles could use a bit more cleaning though. The hotel has the best spa and massage place in the island and we also didn’t skip to enjoy that! Breakfast buffet was delicious and we went back every morning. The beach in front of the hotel was also kept clean I think because the rest of the beach towards Walking street had trash. The pool area was very nice also and gym was clean. Overall we were sad to leave we had a very relaxing stay.

Centrally located just a few steps from where the speedboats pick up & drop off, and a few more steps to Walking Street. The hotel itself is beautifully done with a gorgeous reception area right by the pool - fountain, mod light fixtures, and lounge chairs everywhere. Our room made us equally happy - chilly AC, lots of natural light, and spacious. We ran into a few issues. The first was the wifi. Granted, you're in paradise & likely busy with sunbathing, snorkel excursions, and getting massages - but we still would have liked to msg the house sitter back home, upload photos, or download fresh books to read. But the speed was painfully slow, and often intermittent at best. Given how well the wifi worked on the rest of the island, it was perplexing that it was so poor at the hotel itself. We also had an issue re: the lounge chairs. There are many around the pool, 1 for each room, & more beach side. The beach side chairs didn't consistently have pads. I asked to use one from the pool, or the one from our room, & was told this wasn't allowed. No reason, no extra pads available - just 'no.' I realize I could have asked forgiveness rather than permission, but this struck me as poor customer service on the part of the staff. Given the beach side location is part of the appeal, I was disappointed this couldn't be accommodated. Customer svc at dinner was also a bit lacking. Drinks took forever to come out & we were the only diners at that hour so not sure what drove the delay.
