What Guests Say About Their Stay

The best part about this stay by far is Mr Tuna. They pick you up from the ferry and take you by longtail and then a motorbike taxi to the hotel door (have to pay 500 baht return, but this is quite reasonable). Check in was very easy and room itself is very spacious and clean. Minimal and the TV didn't work but that's not what you go there for! Bathroom was a little on the dirty side, could have done with an extra clean and isn't modern at all. But then this is rural Thailand so for what it was, it still wasn't bad. My shower leaked through the wall out into the room the first night. I let them know this as it was soaked and although the were sat having their food, they jumped up immediately to see and then helped me move room without hesitation. Mr Tuna himself the owner also cooks, his restaurant serves great food and you get some great breakfast options too, you pick what you would like from a basic menu which is nice. He was always there to greet you with a smile and have a conversation, great service. Wifi is good too, only in restaurant and lobby and not rooms but good quality. Would really recommend this if you want to go to somewhere quieter for a few days.

Very secluded, only 10 'huts'. Mr Tuna and his family are most welcoming. The food was superb and cooked by Mr Tuna and his son. Fab location and really only accessed by a longboat once arriving on PHI PHI. Although you have to look hard to find the long boat at the pier when arriving. .

If you're looking for a fancy resort experience then you should look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a quaint place run by great people this is it. The room lacks what some westerners might expect in amenities, but it's clean with a comfortable bed. Tuna offers a free kayak and snorkel gear to explore the bay. We made new friends and had an awesome time!

We stayed 2 nights in this little paradise. The north of the island is a much quieter location and these huts are like a little escape out of civilisation. The comfort is correct. Def worth the experience. It was a love at first sight and we loved it. Red Tuna our host was very nice and helpful. However, even if it was a minor thing, we were quite displeased by some comments made on physical appearance. It was overall an incredible experience. It is a very beautiful place that we definitely recommend. We would go back for sure.

Awesome stay in one of Mr Tuna's 'huts'. Great location away from the main touristic crowds on Phi Phi with a couple of stunning beaches a short walk away, with great views at sunset. A nice selection of bars and restaurants in the small village-like area where the accommodation is. Mr Tuna and the staff are great hosts and run a great little restaurant too. I even shared a couple of cans of beer with Mr Tuna after one of his long days at work; he's a super guy! Overall a great experience, would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from the crowd.

What makes this place is Mr. Red Tuna! He's got that ubiquitous Thai smile and he's super accommodating with special requests. He makes you feel welcome by meeting you at the ferry then dropping you off. And his restaurant is one of the better ones. The pad Thai and chili grilled prawns rocked! My only gripe is the condition of the huts. The huts and grounds are very safe but the huts need updating, that's for sure, and the little annoyances wear on you after the 5th day. All doors need a way to be latched and unlatched from inside and outside. The showers leak into the bedroom. Ceiling mounted fans would be a nice addition the the AC which works perfectly fine. Again, these are just minor annoyances to an otherwise lovely stay.

The bungalows were basic but if you are going to be out and about each day and evening then this is enough. Unfortunately though it seems that only a year on from the bungalows being built that rust is showing through on joins on the internal walls making them seem older than they are. Housekeeping takes place on a daily basis and the bungalows are clean. Everything within the village is in close proximity so this is an ideal spot for more traditional island life. There are some great little bars and restaurants here which aren't too busy but still have atmosphere. The nearest beaches are Loh Ba Ko Bay and Loh Lana Bay. Both are beautiful but Loh Ba Ko Bay is owned by the Phi Phi Island Village Resort so when the tide is in this restricted to residents only. Loh Lana Bay is much smaller and quieter but unfortunately isn't maintained on a daily basis. It is easy to walk to most places on the island but trainers are a must. Tonsai Bay is around 50 minutes at a good pace and involves a slight jungle climb. Anyone who is reasonably fit should be comfortable with this. Leamtong Beach is around 20 minutes and an easier walk due to a motorbike path/road. Long boat to the hotel was 400 baht on arrival and 600 baht on departure, arranged by Tuna. This is good deal though as taxi boat from Tonsai is around 1000 baht. There are plenty of options for day trips from the village and if you are running out of cash then it's best to combine it with a boat trip as most will make a stop in Ton

There are plenty of options for day trips from the village and if you are running out of cash then it's best to combine it with a boat trip as most will make a stop in Ton

Okay wir sind in Thailand. Trotzdem.
