There is no lobby, no driveway, just a clean cheap hotel that is friendly and provides large rooms for a small price. It’s hidden in an alleyway. Lots of local food near by and very convenient if you are going on the ferry.

Sri Samui is located about 400 metres (5 mins walk) south of the pier. It is close to the shops and night markets at the pier. Reception is down a narrow alley so watch for the hotel sign. If you reach the curtain shop you've gone too far. The room was very clean, spacious and quite modern looking with a comfy couch as well as a large bed. Everything worked well and the availability of complimentary coffee at reception was a kindly touch. It was nice to see that the owners had invested in the rooms rather than just a fancy reception area. The only issue was with communication when I tried to explain my booking because the sole staff person on duty, though very pleasant, could not read Thai or understand English very much. Eventually it was sorted but took a while. I would thoroughly recommend this as a quiet, conveniently located, nicely laid out, easily accessible place in a safe neighbourhood that offered good value.

This room served it's purpose of giving me a place to sleep, but was creeped out by the locks on exteriors of the bathrooms (I looked in a window of another room, and there was a lock on the outside of it's bathroom as well). The door to my bathroom was also damaged, and the door knob rattled loosely within the makeshift door repair. My only guess is that someone was kept in the bathroom. It's the ONLY hotel I've stayed in that required a room key card to enable you to exit the building. Hmmmmm..... not very safe, if there's a fire. I also noticed single story building in back, part of the hotel complex, but not hotel rooms. All the windows had shutters on the outside. I never heard or saw anything else out of place, but this haunts me, and I can't help but wonder what's gone on here.

The room appeared clean, but there were spider webs (and spiders) behind the TV. During the night we encountered bugs in the bed, which when we squashed them, were full of blood (presumably ours!). Not sure if they were bedbugs, as we have never seen those before. There was an off/on noise during the night - some sort of pump, which also kept us awake. Will try somewhere else when we come back.

Walked into the hotel and asked to see the room. Room was great. AC cool, fridge, TV, modern, clean, spacious. 5 stars so far. Only issue we had that ruined the whole thing was the staff. There were 3 of us. We were told it would be an extra 200b for the third person. We then asked if that was the case if we booked online. She said no if we book on Hotels.com she can do it without charging extra. We booked online. As soon as the confirmation came up and said no refunds she demmanded an extra 200b. WATCH OUT! Other than this the room is incredibly lovely and near the ferry!

Worse experience in 6 month in Asia. The room was not so bad. The real problem is the staff that don't have any respect. We are a boring side effect that come with the money they want. Ignore customer request and continue to do there stuff. The staff is a shame for the hotelkeeper profession and should not be support by customer and hotel web site engine. Even more worse that Thai are generally great welcoming, so go somewhere else.

The Sri Samui is just off the main beach road in Nathon, just along from the piers where the boats take you too Donsak. It's great value for money, small hotel, large rooms, clean, friendly, has fridge, free drinking water, soap, hot water, comfortable large bed, wardrobe (although no hangers!), dressing table and sofa. There's easily enough room for a cot or extra bed if you are a family. Perfect stopover for early morning boats, or if coming in late at night.
