Hotel Dar el Bhar

This is a very pleasant hotel in a good position on the beach. It's relatively small, so the facilities are limited but it was fine for me. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean and the staff were all very friendly. I think my mistake was to go there off season in November. There were very few people staying there and usually only half a dozen in the restaurant in the evening. It obviously wasn't worth the hotel putting out any kind of a buffet with choices. I can understand that - but it meant that the choice offered by the waiter was very limited and to be honest, not of a particularly good quality. I was surprised that I couldn't even get a cafe latte and a piece of cake in the beach bar in the afternoon. There was no milk and 'no food for an hour' I was told. I'm sure it's not like that in Summer when there are many more guests. It's a shame because I did like the hotel - but the restaurant and food let it down.

This is a beautiful hotel, small, intimate, characterful with lovely furnishings. The pool is a great size for lengths, and the beach very close by. I would return here gladly, at any time, but for one problem: the food is terrible. The menu is huge but most of the dishes (including for example all the pizzas )unavailable. No Tunisian specialities. A big disappointment. The wine list needs ABV indications eg 11%, 12%, 13%, to avoid hit and miss! Such a disappointment as otherwise a wonderful place.

The is our 2nd visit to Djerba and this hotel which a lovely small hotel with great atmosphere provided by the staff who are always friendly and smiling. Most of the staff can speak in multiple languages which makes things convenient. Great location right on the beach and near the best stretches of beach. Breakfast is ok as they don't rotate the buffet selection but there is a omelette station which helps. The hotel was quiet at times we were the only guests at dinner which we didn't mind.

Very expensive Disappointed for everything

Appalled; disgusted & shocked! What a beautiful & simple pleasant hotel. The atmosphere is so calm & relaxing. But you would Not think that as soon as you walk through the beautiful Hotel entrance. For a Island/Country so dependent on tourism you would think that you would hire more sophisticated & polite staff especially as they are the first people that you deal with entering a hotel. The issue with my six year old daughter & I was the management/receptionist. The second time we enter to have a father daughter day out, a swim & a quick lunch the lady looks us up & down telling us , "We are full." Even though we where just at the restaurant before & at the time there was only one guest relaxing at the pool & another couple just leaving! My daughter got upset as this was the second incident with the receptionist; so we returned to our bungalow which is literally 10 meters away from the Hotel. I decided to book a room online just so that my daughter could swim as we are returning to Dubai in two days. To make matters worse, instead of giving us one of their rooms with a balcony knowing that I required a smoking room; she kindly placed us in one of their few rooms that had No balcony & that was located just over the noisy bar which I can only assume was out of spite, taking it personally & Not liking that I reserved a room just to please my daughter. Funny enoughI was latter on told by a staff member that there was actually a room available with a balcony at the far end of

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. Check-in was relatively smooth: we waited for around 15 minutes, but the staff gave us juice during the wait. The room was very clean. The TV worked well but did not have many channels. Breakfast was great! Good coffee and food. The swimming pool was a bit too small, but the beach was nearby. Parking can be an issue as there are not many spots, but the staff helped us with this. The biggest issue is that the hotel is pretty far from restaurants and cafes -- a car and/or taxi is required!

The hotel is small and well kept. The staff and owner were very attentive and genuinely wam and welcoming. My stay was very enjoyable. I will definitely return to Dar El Bhar in the near future.

Un très bel hôtel de charme en bord de mer et de taille humaine et familiale, on a l'impression de connaître tout le monde. Le personnel est très sympathique et bienveillant. A ne pas manquer.

Séjour très agréable dans cette hôtel familiales avec un personnel très sympathique, toujours à rendre servir, preneur de conseil pour améliorer leurs services. Merciiiii d'avoir participer à ce que notre séjour soit à la demande de nos besoins

J’ai passé trois jours dans cet hôtel et j’ai été très satisfait. L’établissement est propre et bien entretenu. Le personnel est vraiment généreux et accueillant, toujours avec le sourire. Cela rend le séjour encore plus agréable. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel

Kleines Hotel, aber fein. Freundliches Personal, hilfsbereit und geht auf die Wünsche der Klienten. Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich.

Verglichen mit den letzten beiden Aufenthalten hat sich das Hotel noch einmal verbessert! Das Essen war phantastisch! Die Sauberkeit und die Liebe und Pflege zum Detail waren wiederum in hohem Masse vorhanden. Die Liebenswürdigkeit des gesamten Personals lässt einen zuhause fühlen - vielen Dank an alle!

Un hotel incroyablement agreable, avec un personnel toujours souriant. Propre ,entretenu et plutot jolie, venez y sans hésité si vous n'êtes pas fan des gros hôtels all inclusive. Une petite pépite sur notre road trip tunisien.

Petit hôtel de charme, les pieds dans l’eau… Au cœur de la zone touristique, pas loin du casino de Djerba… Nous avons été surclassé dans une suite avec une terrasse magnifique vue mer est propre, le personnel à l’écoute et très aimable
