Great hotel, great buffet, great service

We stayed at this hotel in Istanbul for seven days, booking two family rooms, each advertised as a triple. Overall, we would rate our stay 4 out of 5. While the hotel is marketed as a five-star property, it didn’t fully meet that standard. Positives: Great location, close to main attractions and amenities. Good facilities, including a spa and gym. Very helpful staff — throughout our stay there wasn’t a situation where a staff member couldn’t assist. Breakfast offered a decent range of choices and was enjoyable. Negatives: The rooms were small for triples. The mattresses and pillows were poor quality, uncomfortably soft and bouncy. In summary, the hotel has a lot going for it, particularly its location, facilities, and excellent staff. However, improvements in room size and mattress/pillow quality would make the experience more in line with a true five-star.

The guys at the reception are very friendly and very knowledgeable about transport, topics and trips. Room service is excellent, as is cleanliness. Very rich continental breakfast! Wonderful stay

Food was okay except for overcooked eggs and omelette which were made to order. The room was way too dark as if it was meant to just sleep. Wifi password needed to be updated quite often and daily even if we stayed >1 week. There was no option for just entering a Wifi password just once.

Loved the place , however small rooms and the smoking in the rooms reached the vents it was so horrible couldn’t sleep the last week at the hotel due to the smoke inhalation

El personal es encantador educados y atentos por otro lado las mujeres que limpian las habitaciones no hacen una buena limpieza . El jacuzzi del hotel no funciona y no puedes usar la piscina si no tienes gorro de nadador el cual ellos te venden . Tiene una muy buena ubicación y sus empelados son muy gentiles su bufé del desayuno es muy bueno pero el restaurante es excesivo en sus precios si quieres almorzar con ellos .

Staff was rude with exception of the bellhop. The property was falsely advertised, dirty, & overpriced. I had to request a refund and find a new hotel.

Over all ok

Rooms were spacious, clean, well furnished. Many hotel amenities including turkish bath, massage, and sauna. Breakfast was okay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t mind booking it again for a future visit to Istanbul.

After I made my reservation and received confirmation, I sent a message to hotel team via Expedia to ask if they can help me with shuttle service. I didn’t get any response from them that I had to book the car service by myself. When we arrived, the receptionist lady was not so much welcoming. However, next day, the receptionist guy in the morning shift was very helpful and he gave us some advice on tourist destinations. I believe if we ask them in person with shuttle service from hotel to airport, they would definitely help us. It’s just I didn’t hear from them before coming to the hotel, when I needed airport to hotel pick up service, I made online round trip booking already. Also, when we arrived the room, it wasn’t as in the pictures in Expedia. The room furniture looked little old. We didn’t have bath robs in our room from the beginning, but when we requested them , we received upon request. The only thing I like about the hotel was housekeeping service that cleaned our room every day. And anytime we asked any additional staff like iron or slippers they were very quick and delivered to our room. The daily breakfast was also delicious and on time The guy in the gym/ spa reception was also very friendly and helpful. Also, the day of the check out, the receptionist was very helpful and he helped us to weight our luggage , so we can make sure that we don’t have overweight suitcases. In general, our stay was okay. I just thought it would be 5 star hotel service.

Very welcoming and very clean. Great staff. Really enjoyed walking around the city. The room was clean and well tended to. The breakfast provided a variety of choices. I would definitely recommend to stay here.

Definitely not 5 stars, the $100 holding fee was not mentioned at the time of booking, was given a room by the noisy lifts with drainage smells, connecting door to occupied room next door and views of a backstreet when booked otherwise. Was given another room with a huff and it was not up to 5* standard they claim. Charge €2 if you lose your room card which never happens in any hotel, chain or not. Staff glued to their phones and avoided contact with guests unless forced to deal with at reception. Breakfast is diabolical, basement room with the most basic offerings, staff left the place a mess and only picked up dirty plates when the boss came in on our last day. Oh and a mouse running around the room floor and cleaners were too scared so ran off. As someone who stays in hotels twice a week around the world I do not recommend this establishment unless you want something extremely basic and happy to deal with noise and not up to standard rooms. Pictures were taken of obvious things not hidden/atypical.

This wasn’t my first time staying at Dosso Dossi Downtown, and like always, it never disappoints. From the moment you arrive, the service and staff go above and beyond honestly, they deserve a 20 out of 10. Friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The atmosphere is welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and everything just runs so smoothly. It truly feels like a home away from home. Amazing stay once again I’ll definitely be coming back!
