Kordon Hotel Cankaya

Everything was great just a bit let down no gym or sauna and steam room wasnt open the reason I chosen that hotel

The hotel is located in the heart of Izmir and it is well-connected. The staff was so friendly. We booked the deluxe room, it was so spacious and clean. We easily found parking for our car. We definitely will come back

A good hotel located in the centre within walking distance to the old bazaar, seafront, dining and all transportation.

Don't waste your money by booking this hotel. I wanted a hotel which had a sauna and an indoor pool. The Kordon Hotel Cankaya has NEITHER but they are listed, with a photo of the indoor pool on the website. However, they are at the sister hotel, not this one. This is clearly misleading and the hotel description needs changing. This has spoiled our stay. The location is very good, but other than that i would definitely not recommend this hotel. The breakfast is poor. There are strategically placed mirrors which make the breakfast buffet look big, but the reality is that there isn't a good selection. Staff in the kitchen were arguing, do they not realise that their voices carry into the dining room and make guests uncomfortable? All in all a very poor, unprofessionally run hotel which you would do bestvto avoid!!!

It’s a wonderful property in the heart of Izmir City . It’s very near the tram and the areas around are easily walkable . We enjoyed our stay here . The staff were particularly very helpful in helping us adjust our room , especially Mr Anil The rooms could replace some of their bedding and towels as they appear to be over used and old . Overall , it’s a good stay for a short visit

I never write reviews, but I felt I had to share this so others know what they are walking into. I visit Izmir often and usually stay at the Swiss Hotel in Alsancak. This time, I was trying to save money and chose this hotel instead. It was still pretty expensive regardless and I stayed for two weeks. The experience was disappointing from the start. The reception staff were consistently rude and unprofessional. This was not just someone having a bad day. It was a pattern throughout the stay. The valet service was just as frustrating. Many times I was told there was no parking, so I had to drive around Alsancak looking for a spot and pay extra out of pocket. Housekeeping was also a letdown. The room looked clean at first, but during the entire two weeks they never vacuumed once. Trash that was not placed directly in the bin was left in the room. It was clear that attention to detail and basic cleanliness were not priorities. The worst part was the overall energy. There was no sense of hospitality. It felt like the staff were annoyed by guests. A couple of workers were kind, but most seemed like they did not want to be there. If I had known how bad this would be, I would have booked a cheaper and lower-rated hotel. At least then I would have known what to expect. This hotel is not worth the price or the stress. Avoid it.

stayed for 4 nights with Family in rooms 109/110 - connected rooms. overall hotel was good - clean, friendly staff and location is great, walkable to almost everywhere while being quite. Only problem we faced was that our rooms were directly opposite to the elevators and area in front of elevators is not carpeted, therefore everyone walking from and to the elevators with their bags woke us up...

We have enjoyed our stay at the Kordon! The couples massage was excellent! Front desk staff was very informative and friendly. We are here looking at historic sites. The 2,000 + year old agora is a twelve minute walk from the hotel! The listing, however was, misleading. There is NO airport transfer from the hotel. We had to arrange our own.

Clean n helpful staff

The property is more at the level of bed & breakfast than a 4 start hotel. The rooms are so old & dark, like the entrance of the room has a corridor where the wardrobe is & there with not a single light in that area of the room. Cleanness of the sheets and towels were questionable, looked they’ve been used for a decade and washed hundred times. There is no parking so they basically tale the key and park your vehicle in a very narrow alley at your risk. In the bright side, the breakfast was nice and we didn’t expect that after getting let down by seeing the room. I wouldn’t fault the hotel but it is not at the 4 star level hotel at all and it’s way too old building that need serious renovation. At least to change the windows so you don’t hear all the noise of the street

Property is within walking distance to areas of interest, rooms are spacious, and property location and at a corner which is convenient

The checking was promised to take 5 minutes and ended up taking over 40 minutes. The key door was working after they supposedly fixed it it would not work. The staff just didn’t care. The water in the sower was cold . The sink was clogged. I don’t know how they run this hotel. It’s a disaster of a company. Very disappointed with Expedia for recommending this hotel.

Could have had a better breakfast buffet with more options and a better gym. Rooftop pool was great for kids. Perfect location to explore Izmir

Poor breakfast people who serves in breakfast area needs to work on customer satisfaction big time . No smile no good morning nothing at all . Person in reception was great apart from him very poor customer service

Really small rooms, quiet, lighting or AC not so great. Front desk was really helpful and attentive!

Its a nice hotel in the middle of everything making it walkable and a great location to stay affordably. The pool is in a deep dark basement and looks like the set of a horror movie so we left it alone, but otherwise two thumbs up!

Hotel was in a good location for my business trip. However I chose this hotel because it stated it had a gym and swimming pool, but the swimming pool was closed and the gym was dysfunctional apart from a running machine and a few weights there was nothing else.
