1735 is an excellent little get-a-way, I booked it for my girlfriend’s birthday as a bed and breakfast and it did not disappoint. It’s nestled in a quiet area that disconnects you from the world yet is less than 20 minutes from Albany. The design, upkeep, and architecture is quite remarkable. All the finishing touches were well thought of and placed well. Seven, our host is excellent at his craft and exudes hospitality. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms. Seven was very kind and detail oriented, he explained a little about the history of the property and what wilderness trails were around the property. He tended to all our needs and made exquisite breakfast. Not to mention he made my girlfriends birthday special going above and beyond by catering to my specific requests about setting up the dining room for her bday (flowers, balloons, cake etc). Needless to say, book 1735 now! Seven, thank you for hosting us!

What a remarkable historic property! We had to go to the integrative medical center, which was only 15 minutes away, and this little gem was such a find. It's on a really private drive that curves through a forest and over a bridge and widens to a glorious field of wildflowers. It's far enough away from the road that you don't hear any traffic, but only a train in the distance. The place and space is phenomenal. So well renovated and maintained keeping with the very historic nature of this Dutch style colonial home. Seven is an inimitable host, and was very communicative along the way; and was fun to meet and chat with. We are really interested in architecture, history, and renovation, and he was a wealth of information. Beds were comfy and bathroom is generous and modern. Well-appointed space all the way around. Highly recommend.

This is a beautifully restored historical house. Seven, our host, was very attentive and accommodating without being intrusive. This was a great secluded location yet quickly accessible to Albany for many dining options. The grounds are beautiful to walk. Great for a quick getaway! Will definitely consider returning.
