Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel

Comfortable beds, it was nice to have a balcony and it was close to restaurants and coffee shops. Not far from the airport.

The facilities were clean does need to be updated a little bit but that is all just looks. The room was clean. It was a bit loud at night. Not sure if it was cars racing though. The breakfast was good. The parking was good i have a big vehicle and had no problem parking in the garage. The staff was very nice. Overall was a nice stay. My view from my room was nice.

From start to finsh this hotel was just not worthy of evening stay. We walked in, everything was so bad, we just walked out and checked out. Avoid.

Clean and quiet room. Parking is free as well as the breakfast buffet. Friendly staff.

Picked this place because of the free parking and breakfast. They have a fantastic breakfast spread. Room was fine except the patio door didn’t close properly and I had to fight with it every night to close. Would have just left it open but the road was noisy.

The location is convenient and has nice spots across the street. Breakfast is decent. I didn’t use the pool but it looked ok. Staff were mostly friendly, one guy was kind of strange but everyone else was nice enough. The room and hallway all smelled musty and of stale cigarette smoke either from the balcony or remnants from before I’m not sure but it was quite potent.

Good location just across the road from the harbour and free parking is a very good perk. Rooms are looking a little run down but that is perhaps factored into the lower price for the area. Our room claimed to have a balcony and the pictures on our Expedia booking had chairs on it, but our actual room ‘balcony’ was far too small to fit a chair and more of a guard rail to prevent falling from the open doors. Only three rooms had this style balcony. We enquired about this but were told that we should have booked an upgraded room with either harbour or maintain view in order to have chairs on the balcony. The receptionist claimed this was an error by Expedia and that the pictures were incorrect- Disappointing as we were staying for four nights and wanted to be able to use the balcony. We asked to pay to upgrade but the receptionist came across as rather dismissive and said the hotel was fully booked. Breakfast was very good but the seating area is small and was always full for the four mornings we were there. People were waiting for tables and/or sitting outside on the pool side tables and sun loungers. No complimentary coffee available outside of breakfast hours. Disappointingly the pool looked a rather green tinge and so our children decided not to use it. Overall it is a nice area that seemed very safe even at night time.

We spent one week at this here. We found minor problems with this hotel. Seems like if something breaks. It does not get fixed promptly. There were 2 washer and dryers for the entire building. One of the washer was broken. My wife went to the hot tub and only 2 jets worked. Had only 1 ice machine for the entire building. The grate was missing so you had to hold the ice bucket while dispensing ice. The breakfast was average hotel food. But the area was to small. Better to take your food back to your room and eat. This hotel is great if your stay is a few days. If you need the amenities or a longer stay. I would definitely look elsewhere.

Comfortable easy parking close to airport but street noise was a problem for me even with earplugs

The amenities offered for the stay were excellent, including in-room coffee, fridge, microwave, and flat-screen tv. They also offered all guests a free morning breakfast. Best of all, when I complained shortly after checking in about the difficulty in finding any live tv stations, they attended to it right away. Considering the reasonable price that Expedia offered, the hotel's proximity to Balboa Park and to downtown attractions in San Diego, it was a great deal!

Pool paint was poorly painted. Room felt dirty, had an odd odor. Sink smelled like sewer water. Will not stay here again.
