What an IDEAL, BEAUTIFUL location just south of Branson, Missouri, but not too far that you can't shop when necessary. It is an older, but exceptionally cared for property. We were at this location during the July 4th holiday and it NEVER felt too crowded. Suggestion: ALWAYS make your reservations EARLIER than you think you would need to for major holidays.

This property has an amazing view overlooking the pool is seating on the wrap around balcony. The pool overlooks the lake and the view at sunset is amazing. We were their on a Sunday evening n June and they had a huge firework display at 9pm is was amazing. Wonderful service and the rooms were awesome. 93 degree day room on 9th floor and the air-conditioning was excellent, room clean and welcoming. Food was really good, we at at the atrium rest. but there were choices for fine dining and a pizza buffet near the sweet shoppe that ice-cream ,coffee and deserts. We had a wonderful time.

Rooms are so outdated and smell like a mixture between cat urine, wet dogs and mildew - We went to 6 different rooms and they all smelled the same - I'm not sensitive to smells and i wasn't being complicated, spoiled, or rude- they just smell dank. The receptionist was very very kind and said he apologized for the pungent smell after he went and checked the rooms after the 4th one and agreed that they smelled bad- something about a leak or water break in the past but he gang heard complaints in awhile. I'm not sure... but the location is gorgeous, the view is amazing.. the shared areas were pretty and didn't smell.. just the rooms. I was traveling with another couple and none of us could stay there- everyone that worked at the hotel was very nice and professional so no complaints about management -- the customer service was fantastic.. they even walked in the rain and helped valet find my car after valet lost it for an hour:/

If I don't say this first you will stop reading....the bedding was very stiff, hard. This is the MAIN reason for the stay. Everything else is WAY less important. For $250 a day I expect way more. With that out of the way, the bed was made daily, fresh towels etc. No complaints. This place has a lot of amenities, pool with a lake view, work-out room, restaurant, deli, movie house for kids. We went during a dance week event, parking was a bear, but after they left, no issues. I thought the elevators although beautiful lacked the safety key-card requirement for usage.

I travel a lot. I used to travel weekly for work so I’ve stayed in all ranges of hotels all over the country and never in my 46 years have I felt so compelled to write a review as I do about this stay at the Chateau at the Lake. I’m a business owner myself so I’m all about letting someone have the opportunity to make something right…this place DOES NOT CARE. There is ZERO customer service or attempt at frankly doing their jobs in any capacity. I don’t even know if I can remember all of the issues but here is a list that comes top of mind… *It’s a lake resort. My view is of dumpsters and AC units. I had to pay $50 to check in early so I was here WAY before others checked in so when I asked if we could move rooms when we are staying 8 days and I have two rooms…no. All rooms are assigned. You cannot move. No attempt at even looking at an option *There are FLIES everywhere. Inside, all around the pool, outdoor areas. I don’t mean like “hey we are outside and there are bugs” but thousands of flies that they need to have some sort of bug zappers or something. But they are everywhere inside too. The inside restaurant that served pizza quick lunches…there were flies all over the pizzas. There were also wasps all around the pool. *This is a convention center but doesn’t have enough parking when the hotel is full and there is a convention. They also don’t staff up for conventions so the “sweets shop” had a line at all times that would take a minimum of an hour to get through. The peopl

The staff what little there was, was very pleasant. The room was clean and the sheets smelled fresh. The hotel, rooms, and marina are 20yr overdue for an update. We checked 3 floors and unable to find a working ice machine. The pool is tiny for the size of the hotel. The pictures online of the property are so misleading they must of been taken about 20yrs ago. When we first approached the marina we thought it was deserted it’s so dilapidated. Parking there is none and u have to walk up a steep hill or pop the curb and park in the grass. There is no shuttle which would help or you have to pay extra for the parking garage which I don’t know if there was any parking in there either. The food was very expensive and subpar to say the least. Very disappointing. We still made the best of it because the room and sheets were clean but for the price and pics on there website are a bait and switch. Would spend your money else where.

Rooms were very dated and in need of fresh paint. Looked filthy as if not painted in 20 years and perhaps used to be a smoking room. Bed appeared clean and was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. No parking though, had to park on the lawn. Was celebrating an anniversary and was quite disappointed. Stayed at Ozark Lodge our last trip to Branson and it was super clean compared to this hotel.

First off, every staff member was wonderful. Super friendly and always trying to be helpful. Yet it’s obvious the hotel is understaffed and overworked. We were there for a big dance nationals event and the hotel was FULL. Parking was a nightmare. Rooms were overpriced, old, and not very clean. Food was meh. Drinks were good though. I wouldn’t stay there again, but the staff was definitely doing their best.

During our stay, the outdoor hot tub was broken and therefore unable to use. The indoor hot tub was "over run" by teens that should have been supervised by their parents, hot tubs are NOT swimming pools. We were also unable to use the lounge that is to open at 5:00 pm, we were told they just simply weren't ready to open. A shopping/convenience store would be appreciated on the property for items that may have been forgotten during packing. A concierge would be most helpful at this site. Also, our room was extremely dirty, carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in years along with dust all over the place. We also killed three black spiders in our room that were on the ceiling. For the price we paid, this hotel is minimally in the standard category. The rating on this hotel should be re-evaluated especially due to the cleanliness, that particular area needs a lot of additional work and training of employees.
