Amazing property located just off the main strip in old Manitou Springs. From the staff to the decor, I had the best experience here while on a two week trip to Colorado. If it’s available, stay in the Buffalo Bill suite. It’s the coolest themed room I’ve ever seen.

The property has a great location and is extremely walkable, right in the middle of town, but off the main drag, and very close to everything. It has easy and reasonably priced valet parking which is a plus in the touristy town where parking is sometimes a bit challenging. The hotel is comfortable with a nice staff. I would stay there again without hesitation.

We were expecting a room big enough for 2 of us to sit comfortly and were disappointed there was one decent chair. so live and learn at that price you don't get that.

Bar closed for renovations. Nearest elevator not working. None of 4 digital keys opened room. Had to obtain old fashioned key. Rooms are quite small. Most staff were extremely polite and helpful. Location is excellent.

Cliff House is a very interesting older style of hotel which has been well renovated with modern comforts and facilities whilst retaining its traditional charm and interest. Our rooms were very comfortable, well presented and provided with all the creature comforts the modern traveller expects. We didn't use the hotel's formal dining room but did have a few drinks in the adjoining bar whuich stocked a decent range of drinks although it had a slightly more 'vibrant' atmosphere than we prefer. This was probably partly down to the preponderance of hard materials throughout the space which contributed to the elevated sound levels when the several tv's were all showing different channels. probaly a space more suited to the younger generation although the feel and presentation of the hotel seemd to be aimed at the more mature traveller. Be that as it may Cliff House is a charming and interesting hotel with the sort of character not often found in more contemporary establishments.

We love The Cliff House - it is an iconic and historic hotel on Manitou Springs. Valet parking staff is excellent. Almost all staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms are beautiful and spacious with antiques. We love the robes. Comfortable bed and very good water pressure in shower. Dinner was very good in dining room. This is our third stay and we will definitely return. Husband did the manitou incline again - always a highlight for him.

great location - walk right across to main street in Manitou. Housekeeping in room everyday, turn down service with chocolates included, newspaper in the morning; nice touches. They do a nice job maintaining a vintage property. Rooms are nice with fireplaces and really nice large bathrooms with double sinks, whirlpool tub and powerful showerheads. We stayed 6 nights and I would stay there again.

Great location, walking distance to blocks of stores on main street. We got upgraded in our room due to VIP status which was a bigger room with some great amenities. Loved the fireplace, great shower and toilet seat warmer!! They no longer comp for valet parking but gave a $20 food/beverage coupon. On-site Red Mountain bar was a little slow service due to one bartender ( normal staffing). I prefer not to have valet parking - feels like your car is hostage and a hassle to get things from your car without bothering someone.

A quintessential 150-year-old hotel in the heart of Manitou Springs, the hotel was recently renovated and has modern amenities in its rooms. Our room, unfortunately, overlooked the back side of the hotel with a view of a hillside a few feet from our bedroom windows. We did not feel safe opening the windows at night for fresh air. The staff was outstanding and friendly; however, on the last day of our stay, the valet parked our car in the grass and smashed the side mirror into a reflector. Parking was the one issue, as the only option is valet. However, the valets were quick in retrieving our vehicle, and other than the last day, we had no issues. The restaurant was good with fine cuisine; however, both my wife and I asked for medium, and the meat was cooked rare. The bar is another option for dinner with a few specific bar items on the menu, but it is clear they share the kitchen. The bartender spilled simple syrup on the outside of my glass, making my drink a sticky mess. Not acceptable for a $18 drink. It was an enjoyable stay, but for dinner and drinks, you can do better by going to a fine restaurant in Colorado Springs.

The Cliff House Hotel offers a mixed experience. While the valet parking for $20 is convenient, parking itself can be quite limited. The exterior of the hotel could use some attention, but the room was nice, though a bit overpriced for a Saturday stay. A major concern was getting stuck in the elevator, which was alarming, though the staff managed to get the door open after a while. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and helpful. However, small issues like a squeaky bathroom door and only one washcloth made the stay feel less polished. Overall, I’m not sure I would return given these inconveniences.
