The hotel was Not even the problem. Expedia was the worst. Its Sturgis time and it’s already very busy in this area. We booked rooms for our drive back home and we got here at 8:15pm and walked into a lobby with 3 other groups trying to check in through expedia reservations and not one reservation was in the susatem. I felt terrible for the desk staff. She was taking calls from expedia, dealing with customers, and still trying to remain calm. I was put on hold for 10 minutes so the expedia agent could “call the location I was trying to check in at “ and she got back on the phone after 10 minutes to tell me she couldnt get through.. I was standing here the entire time waiting with the hotel staff because expedia said she could not talk yo the hotel from my cell phone. I stood at the frint desk waiting for expedia to call the hotel and not once did the phone ring. I mentioned this to the expedia “manager” and she could not even tell me the number she called she instead kept giving me my confirmation number telling me thats the number she called. I will NEVER recommend Expedia nor will I ever use Expedia ever again. This is regarding Days Inn by wyndham East in Rapid City SD. Great customer service at the front desk, the hotel itself, im glad I just have to sleep here for a few hours. Yikes! Expedia sucks!

When my wife and I got to the motel, we were waiting in line to check in, when the person in front of us started yelling and being totally unreasonable with the lady behind the desk. She tried to work with the person who was yelling, but he was totally unreasonable. She handled it very well and very professionally.

It was a great room. We needed a two bedroom suite and it was perfect! The pool was great too!

They had sold my room prior to my arrival. I booked through Expedia, the desk attendant sold it to a walk-in. Luckily she had a room that was available. These people don’t really try. Here’s some examples: Hair in bathtub drain Broken toilet paper holder Lamps broken Phone not working On the upside: Bed comfy Nice pillows Kind of friendly staff It’s a 2 star, adequate place but, I won’t stay here again.

The hotel was adequate at best. They DONT have microwaves in the rooms. instead they have common microwave out in the common hallway area by the elevators. there was also 1 or 2 in the breakfast area. The breakfast was subpar... The eggs tasted like what I would imagine Styrofoam tastes like. Biscuits were good. no complaints. However the gravy that they served was WAY WAY WAAAAAYYYY to salty. They only had sausage links for a few days, during the two weeks I was there. But they prepared them in a very small crockpot, and they were dried and in most cases would potentially crack your tooth if you bit into it. The room accommodation's were pretty small. They did have a mini fridge in the room, which kept my water bottles and energy drinks pretty cold, so I appreciate that. The first room that they assigned to me had evidence of bed bug activity. There were no lives ones that I found, but there were spots on the mattress and on the frame of the bed and the wall as well. The new room didn't. But the bathroom in the new room had a loose toilet seat that came off several times during my stay. The valve to turn the shower on was SOOOO difficult to pull out to have the shower work; and the hot water took literally 17 minutes from the time I managed to turn it on, to the time it was even lukewarm and bearable to stand under the shower. The bathroom towels were ripped, frayed and had funny smells, and they were NOT folded properly on the towel rack. The laundry was frustrating.

The rooms were horrible the ceiling was falling down in our room. The air conditioning didn’t work. The rooms and hotel were dirty and staff were very rude. We didn’t get to use the pool if was empty. Would not recommend staying here at all.

Television would not work for the first 4 days even with us complaining, Staff argued with me when I attempted to see why the Television would not work and why the sink would not drain properly, Could not sleep due to the bed was uncomfortable, The swimming pool was not open at any time. Would not recommend and will not stay at that Days in ever.

Upon check in (45 minutes task). The desk gal was rude, irritated, and confused which room she put us in. We finally got the keys to rm 128, and had to go back to ask for towels and she claimed we were in the wrong room,and she had already taken towels to rm 213 whch she claimed was the room she assigned to us, but she wrote we were in 128, and even explained it was end of the hall, by the pool.And the key let us in without error. Upon entering we noticed black tape over the missing peep hole on the door, peep hile was completely missingThere was no privacy to the bathroom the lock was gone ,with a open hole where the door would latch shut, had to put a shoe against it to keep closed. The ceiling in the bathroom was wet,with crumbling dry wall which fell all over the sink in the middle of the night. (Pictures taken)towels were stained yellow like they were used and not washed. Pool was green with algae, like it was kept maintenence for a fish aquarium (noone used the pool)! The window was missing the screen and lock and you could crawl in if someone wanted too,(1st floor and also have pictures.) Lock was completely missing from inside to allow you to lock it for your safety. Over all condition of this hotel was awful, and the amount of money we paid was disheartening. 500 for 2 nights and we had to feel,unwelcomed, unsafe,and cautious for our health and safety. I hope someone does read this, and takes this serious. Thanks you for your time.

Was late when arrived so we had a place to lay our heads to sleep but we will very like not return. This appears to be an ownership problem.
