DoubleTree by Hilton West Palm Beach Airport

Hi DoubleTree West Palm Beach Airport, We're in our room now, but unfortunately, there's some pretty loud maintenance happening right outside our window. It's so noisy we can barely hear the TV! On top of that, the room has a strong chemical or paint smell – it's giving me a headache and making me feel a little nauseous. It is actually almost 7 pm and they are still working. The folks next door mentioned the same issue. We asked about moving rooms, but were told the hotel is fully booked. I want to included a few short videos showing the work outside our window to help illustrate the situation. Any chance you could look into this and see what can be done? It's making our stay a bit difficult to enjoy. Thanks so much! Kimberly Monbarren

This is not a 4 star hotel. i would give it two stars. The property was old and unclean. staff were all friendly, but the building was not clean, the restaurant was not clean and everything was old.

Room and restaurant was nice. Wish the shuttle was available to those who have 6am flights out. One thing we had to go to the desk for was bedding for pull out

This hotel is very clean. Restaurant was very good. Little over price but overall quality great..

The facility is run down, the continental breakfast is sad, the pool gave my boyfriend hives from the Ph being significantly high and the department of health had to come for the pool.

I hate to say anything bad about this property since the staff is absolutely fantastic! I truly mean that. Anything I asked for or wanted, they all went above and beyond. My biggest complaint is that our room was INCREDIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE, STIFLING, and HOT. The A/c was fixed at 64 and only turned on to cool periodically. And only then lasted a minute or two. It is not fun tossing and turning all nite because of being hot and sweaty. NOT GOOD.

I the front desk know how noisy the room was from the highway. The floor smelt awful. They gave me floor dryer, which I didn’t realize until after a day does nothing but stir up all the mildew from the floor. It made it almost unbreathable in there the windows don’t open for safety reasons, of course I totally understand. What was not accommodated. They did the best they could with what they had.

Comfortable room and bedding. Shuttle to and from airport but you have to request the service at the front desk so they know when it is needed. Shuttle service doesn't start before 5 am but does go up until 11 pm which is nice. I had a smoke detector battery alarm start beeping repeatedly shortly after my checkin but I informed the front desk and a worker came promptly and replaced it within minutes. excellent response time. I forgot that a cookie supplied at checkin and I did go back when I remembered about the free treat and and was provided one or more if I wanted. Thank you Doubletree.

Staff are friendly, lots of work being done to do maintenance

We arrived at the property around 10ish PM to check in. Upon check-in the representative Yasmin advise me that I had a king room. I told her I did not. She went back-and-forth about seven times when she told me, Yes, Expedia‘s reservation came through as a king bed reservation. I told her That was not true and I showed her my reservation on my Expedia app. She then said “ohh”at that point the manager was walking by and asked what was going on. She told him that one of their employees whose name starts with a “M” changed my room from two double beds to one king bed and they no longer had any rooms available. ( how quick the story changed ) The manager said oh we’re sorry there’s nothing we can do. at this point it is almost 11 PM. My children had a national competition w/ a 6AM call time. we were tired. the manager, Christian stated that they’re allowed to do that with any reservation they receive. My reservation was paid for in advance in full, so there was no reason for someone to change it. When I asked, where would my children sleep? He told me he would give me a blanket and a pillow and they could sleep on the floor, I was floored. I told him that I would not pay to sleep on the floor. He stated he would contact Expedia to give me a refund. He never did. I had to contact Expedia, They ended up giving me a refund. We called them multiple times for the pillows and blankets. They never answered the phone and hung up on us three times. Be careful booking this hotel.

Over priced, ran down, dirty. Didn’t get the room I reserve

I thought I would shuttle for 550 am flight but doesn’t start till 5 additional Uber expense

Bathroom was filthy, tub was chipped and stained. Shower curtain was absolutely filthy as well. Didn’t say anything due to only one night stay and even checked out early. Very disappointed

Quality Service

Hot shower is always good. The bed was years beyond when it needed replacement, the sink was clogged, the shower curtain lining had multiple tears. This location is more akin to a low budget hotel that is masquerading as a Double Tree than it is a Double Tree. Fancier lamps on the tables, dont hide the glaring issues of lack of up keep and investment. This hotel also does not properly advertise their new rip off scheme where they charge you $10 per night for parking. On top of that nickel and dime fee, they also charge a surcharge for the privilege of paying them $10 per night. This surcharge is in addition to the parking fee. The lame excuse they have for why they suddenly now have an undisclosed fee for parking is because supposedly people park at the hotel and go to the airport. This could be true but has nothing to do with their nickel and dime fee. Simply collecting the license plates of the legitimate guests and towing those who are not registered guests will do the same. Dont lie about your fee, then not disclose it here on the property details. The reason is youre greedy, not because youre trying to stop free loading parkers who dont stay with you. 150 rooms x 1/2 the people with carts x $10 per night = $7500 additional in revenue for this hotel Try being honest

The conditioner dispenser in the shower was empty. I was not informed of an initial extra $100 temporary charge for “incidentals”. The parking in the hotel lot was $10 a night. I had to catch a cockroach walking on the ceiling right over my bed. The positive is that my room was made after the first night, which I did not even expect.
