Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach

Great location on the beach. Property was nicely updated and well maintained. Walkable to a couple things nearby.

I had a nice time at the Fireside Inn. I have tried several inns by the beach, and I find this is one of the better ones. It was an enjoyable stay. Clean room, friendly staff. I've stayed twice. The first time, I had a patio with a partial view of the ocean. I liked this room. The second time, we stayed in a room with a terrace overlooking the parking lot, which I don't recommend.

It was very nice. Room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Wish they had an in-room microwave though.

Right across from the beach, food in walking distance and staff was really nice.

not able to call front desk from the room, phone not working, when I check out and told the the front desk girl she just said ok. not able to connect to the internet with the code that was given.

Love the uniqueness of the property. The staff was wonderful and the room was clean and neat. I would just add a ceiling fan and maybe a small table with two chairs. The view was spectacular..

Pros: location, TV, bed, shower, refrigerator, fireplace, quiet, towels, check in & out. Cons: no microwave, no breakfast except delivery from area restaurant that was quite unappetizing. Only one ice machine near the office. $5 bottled Fiji water. Overall: Basic. Nothing special except the view if you have oceanfront room.

Great place to celebrate our anniversary!

Lovely place amongst a batch of motels on the moonstone beach front. Nice clean pool. Parking plentiful. Helpful staff. Spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Could be more eco friendly, eg single use cups. The coffee in the room was unpleasant. Don’t bother with the cow tipper up the road for breakfast, the food was average and the service was poor, the for every single order wrong when we were there. Plenty of places in Calistoga. There is a fridge in the room but not crockery or cutlery to be able to make any breakfast in the room. Do visit the grill a few doors down for dinner, amazing cocktails and generous and tasty food with great service. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely rooms, and nice happy anniversary sign and card in our room. Nice toucn and amazing location.
