Hilton Garden Inn New York/West 35th Street

I arrived at the hotel and checked inn. Once entering the room I noticed the bed sheets had stains on them, very visible and dirty. We then went to sleep after a 5 hour plane journey delay. We were woken up around 1am due to extremely loud noise coming from the refrigerator in the room. It was so loud we could not sleep. So I had to move and unplug the refrigerator to stop the noise. When doing this the dirt/dust behind was disgusting. In the morning I advised the reception of the issues and they advised they could change our room but it would not be later in the day The new room was the same layout. The sheets looked very similar, unclean and we had no real option but to accept this room. Again we were not provided assistance with our bags and had to do it ourselves. I had my elderly mother with me and this was a struggle. Having inspected the room, its was clear how filthy it was. The same dirt/dust was present behind the fridge and this time you could see visible dirt on the edges of the carpet and behind the beds. The dust behind the beds was disgusting and even traces of food present. The bed was really uncomfortable and the pillows might as well have been non existent. The shower head in the bathroom was soo filthy and I had to clean this myself. The toilet was also not flushing correctly and required 2-3. I would avoid this hotel at all costs as it's ridiculously priced and filthy.

The first day we did not have a room key. We have to wait till the staff let us up in our room, but the property in our room was clean.

The hotel was okay. It was a bit outdated and could have been cleaner. We did enjoy how convenient the location was.

Very hospitable staff. Rooms were clean good spacing. Would recommend to anyone who wants to come to Manhattan.

Our “queen size” beds were only slightly larger than a normal single bed. The “city view” was of empty rooftops and construction instead of the advertised Empire State Building view we paid extra for. Also, the entire area smelled horrible of marijuana. However, the staff was friendly and the location is convenient in terms of getting around.

I loved the location. Made my stay very convenient for shopping. Macy’s was right across the street. It’s also only a 6 minute Uber ride to Time Square.

Location good. Staff were polite and friendly. Room was clean and checked every day, but quite small. Noisy outside due to roadworks, noisy in the room due to air conditioning unit going off early hours of the morning. Hotel bar disappointing was nearly always shut and limited space.

I stayed here for a family girls' trip and didn't have any complaints. Only two things were when we called for towels, we never received them, so I had to go to the front desk the next morning because we fell asleep and secondly, the rooms were a bit small, but that didn't burden our trip. The staff were friendly and always helpful, making sure our stay was great, which it was! Even the car service they have to book to take you to the airport is so convenient. I have to say that I will book again as when you are looking for hotels when you get there, you are fooled. I love the area, and I love the hotel. There is even a gym which I didn't realise until late, and the breakfast spot we used daily, waffles were good! See you next time!

I love staying on 35th St. everything is close by you have walking distance to the subway. However my room was dusty bathroom was dusty the lamps. Hairs on the walls?!? The nightstands were dusty and I found a soda bottle underneath the bed. I think the cleaning staff should do a little bit more of a thorough cleaning overall who doesn’t want to stay in New York City!!!
