Holiday Inn Express & Suites CHARLOTTE - BALLANTYNE by IHG, an IHG Hotel

We booked this hotel through Expedia and unfortunately had a family emergency after our first night. We had to leave early and immediately contacted both Expedia and the hotel to see if we could get a partial refund for the unused nights. Expedia customer service was helpful and understanding, but ultimately said the decision was up to the hotel. Sadly, the hotel refused to offer any refund. They chose to keep the full amount for the remaining nights we couldn’t use—even though the room was left empty and most likely rebooked after we left. It’s clear this place cares more about squeezing every dollar out of guests than showing even basic human decency. Very money-hungry and cold. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re 100% sure nothing unexpected will happen, because they won’t care. At all.

The area is beautiful. Hotel clean amazing staff. Breakfast options are great they have a variety of food it was pretty good. The only issue was the elevator it kept breaking and staying on the 4th floor was a hassle. Other than that it’s in a really good area next to a whole food store. I will definitely stay again…

Good clean nice location

Everything about the stay was great except for no elevator service due to storms in the area. Front desk was friendly, apologetic. Room was very spacious, nice amenities, super clean and had a great comfortable bed. Complimentary breakfast had a nice assortment of options and was kept well stocked and clean.

Above and beyond standards better service and quality than any other Holiday Inn we’ve stayed keep doing what youre doing at this branch!! Very classy and professional from the lobby, front desk, housekeeping etc.

Nice facility. Clean and decent breakfast

The beds and pillows were so comfy. The breakfast was good and lots of selection. The shower was huge and love having all the soaps available. Makes packing easier. Great friendly staff.

I liked that i could walk to the grocery store and a few restaurants.
