Holiday Inn METAIRIE NEW ORLEANS by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Janika at front desk was awesome and will stay here again when I'm in New Orleans area!

The bed sheets did not smell good

The rooms are slightly dated. I know where I was there was no smoking, but I could still smell the slight hint of stale cigarettes. The staff was great, the food in the restaurant was good, and the room was super clean.

For check in everything was great including mr Lance checking on me and my husband making sure the room was good and up to part!

I’ll start with the pros first. The manager checked us in and he was great, very personable , outgoing, knowledgeable, and made the check in process really smooth. The only other positive was that the room has a desk that can move for those working from the hotel. Cons- the hotel gives motel vibes. Smells like mildew, carpet looks dirty, it needs a major update. Also I’ve been traveling my whole life and I have NEVER had a huge roach in my hotel room. I’m terrified of bugs so this made my stay less enjoyable because I woke up all night to make sure no bug got in the bed. I have two starts because of the manager but that’s it, I wouldn’t stay again.

Room was not ready when we arrived. Internet was no strong and elevators were no clean. Everything else, great.

The staff was amazing they texted me once we checked in to make sure our room was okay. Although it was raining when we arrived we had no problems with parking and getting to the hotel

The beds are comfortable but the hotel itself isn’t very clean and the rooms and bathroom are very small. One night we had nowhere to park and the man working the desk argued with us and other customers about the lack of parking outside. The lady that took care of us at breakfast in the morning was very sweet and helpful though.

Odd smell in hallway. Felt like there might be an issue with mold in the room.

Easy to check in, front desk staff was friendly.

Television didn’t work and at checkout the lady told me I should have unplugged it and plugged it back. I told her I didn’t pay to be cable service.

It was a great time

I got that "uh-oh" feeling when a couple of crazies were outside the hotel shouting at each other, and when I stepped into the shabby elevator and walked along the worn-out carpets in the hallways. However, the room itself was great! Clean, nicely furnished, pretty quiet. Would get that 5th star if the carpets and elevators were updated.

Stayed for 2 nights with family. Room was nice and clean. Easy parking. Good restaurant downstairs. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
