Holiday Inn SAN FRANCISCO-GOLDEN GATEWAY by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Lets see where can I start. This is a Holiday Inn not a Marriott, Hyatt or Ritz. Very expensive. Staff is not friendly at all. I get we are in San Francisco but some politeness would have much appreciated. To my and my wife the staff uninterested on whether or not we were ok. Front desk is useless everything was “no” or “we dont have that service”. Expedia advertise that this “breakfast included” so for the price it made sense. The only reason why I picked this Hotel was because my wife wanted breakfast included. We got there the first day I walked up to the lady at the restaurant and she did not find my name. She asked if we had prepurchase the breakfast I said no, I wasnt aware that was a thing since breakfast was “included” obvilously it wasnt. It was $34 per person per day for a CONTINENTAL BREAFAST give a break. On another instance we had come from a very long day on tours and walking it was cold and we wanted a latte. So we went to the cafe and we asked for latte, mine regular but my wife wanted almond milk, so she inquire if they had almond milk? The answer she received was what made hate this hotel, “we are not a Starbuck” Oh by the way prepare to be charge a $500 deposit on top of the total stay. Amenities there is none. I must say the rooms are nice and if you stay ask for floor 26 beautiful view. Thats the only plus I had. The fan in the bathroom seem to have issues so even after the light was off it made weird sound that kept up all night.

Loved that I had a parking pass option for my stay. The only thing I would note was I tried contacting house keeping every day during my stay (for more towels), and no one ever answered. Other than that my stay was very satisfactory.

I love this hotel, it's staff, the rooms and it's location.

Staff is pleasant and responsive. They are very professional. The hotel environment is clean and safe. Very secured parking structure. A lot of restaurants are nearby the Polk street. A variety of food selections.

Overall ok but there was a pretty big red stain on the carpet and the elevator was kinda loud all night. Sounded like a train going by. Oh and the TV remote didn’t really work too great

Stay was comfortable and clean. Room was a great corner location with great views. Room next door was quite loud.

It’s my second stay during a visit to a conference and the value for money is high for weeks where San Fran is in high demand. Rooms are nice, spacious, and clean. Hotel is well kept and friendly overall.

Definitely love the view, which is opening city from another side.

The only complaint would be that my room was 170 for the night and I still had to pay 50 dollars a day for parking at the property I was already paying to stay at.

I had a nice experience. There are alot of good mom and pop restaurants that have good food. Also Trader Joes and Whole foods are very close. Overall great experience and i am very satisfied with my stay.
