Marriott Vacation Club, South Beach

We had a wonderful stay there with the family and the staff was really kind and help us with all the questions we had on Miami!

Lovely building across the street from the beach! Our family of five was very comfortable in the studio room. We appreciated the daily pop up activities and friendly staff. This property was the least expensive place we stayed on our weeklong trip to Miami and the Keys, but we liked it the best!

It’s in a great location. I liked the rooftop lounge. The daily activities were nice. The room was adequate- it had everything we needed.

Wonderful time celebrating my birthday and their anniversary. Close to everything, lots of activities offered by the resort and food all around. So much fun

MVC is on Ocean Drive in the heart of everything. Live music and restaurants outside your hotel entrance. Room is spacious and comfortable!

This is the best hotel experience ive ever had. The free activities and the beach cart and the hospitality and fun. Dancung lessons, bingo, smoothies in lobby all complimentary! beach right there and road closed to cars so quiet

I had a good experience with the hotel. I want to say thank you to all the staff en special to Hernan the guy from the reception that was incredible nice with me and my friend. I am so glad that I decided to stay at this hotel .

The property was well maintained, very clean, and easy to navigate. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Great location, great service, nice room

Loved this property!! The staff are extremely nice. The room was spotless clean. We really enjoyed the complimentary things they offered. There was something different each day....Complimentary beer and wine at Happy Hour, ice cream, smoothies, beer tasting, bingo and wine, to name a few activities.... all of which were complimentary! The hotel is steps from South Beach AND the hotel provides a beach cart with 2 chairs, towels, an umbrella and an attached cooler. Also, upon entering the room, there was a complimentary welcome basket with champagne and treats. HIGHLY recommend staying here if visiting South Beach!!

Staff was always super helpful, professional, and attentive. JC and Edward were especially exceptional in their customer service. Both went out of their way to assist us. Beach cart in room was a fantastic perk! We loved the rooftop happy hours and empanadas! Perfect location—on the strip (Ocean Drive), but at quiet end closed off to cars. Tons of restaurants nearby and across street from beach. Lovely beach views from the roof top lounge area, a nice bonus area. Made up for not having a pool. We were there five days and it was the perfect hotel for us. Fridge and microwave, balcony, free washers and drivers with free detergent. Only downside was that the Uber pickup spot was a block away on Collins/14th. Drop off spot was fine at 1400 Ocean. But, this is more of an Uber issue than the hotel’s. Also, time share hawkers in the lobby, especially Patricia, were kind of annoying, but probably expected at a timeshare hotel (and we are already Marriott Vacation Club owners).

Upon checking in, we were greeted by the manager (can’t remember his name but he had eye glasses). He asks for my name that was under the reservation and for my I.D. and he proceeds to check us in or so we thought. He checked us in under someone else’s reservation and had us pay. He “didn’t realize” til after our card went through. He said that he canceled it and we had to re-do the payment again, which we did. On top of that, our room was not ready while our other friends were. Being back home now, we got charged 4 DIFFERENT TIMES by the hotel and one of the amount was different from the other 3 charges. This is such a huge disappointment because there is absolutely no reason for that many charges under one reservation! His apology was not sincere at all and felt like it was just brushed to the side. Also, if you didn’t know this is a timeshare hotel so they will call you. We got called twice with my cellphone number asking for me the first time and then my husband the second. We are under the same reservation there is no reason to call twice with the same information after we had already turned it down the first time.
