What Guests Say About Their Stay

Beautiful hotel, but really far away from anywhere central. One other thing which got at me: if I just wanted to park my car without using the valet, the only option is to park 200m away, whereas the valet seems to have a monopoly on reasonably convenient parking spaces (meaning: actually in-sight of the hotel). Not being cheap, but I don’t want someone else driving my vehicle really ever, for which I was forced to parking behind another building which was not even that close to the hotel.

My favorite hotel to date. It smells nice, the staff is pleasant, the Italian restaurant in the hotel is great, it’s the perfect distance from campus, the rooms are magnificent. The only downfall is the train that runs behind the property at all hours of the night. Staying on the non-train side is the key to a good night’s rest at Rivet House.

My partner and I stayed at Rivet House in Athens, GA on July 12 for a romantic getaway, and it exceeded all expectations. Tucked away in a quiet, secluded location, the hotel feels more like a boutique spa retreat than a traditional hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything about the atmosphere was calming — like stepping into a serene oasis. The entire hotel has a spa-like ambiance that immediately puts you at ease. Our room was beautifully designed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable — we slept like babies. Although there’s a train track behind the hotel, it was barely audible, and when we did hear it, the sound was surprisingly soothing, almost like white noise. One thing to note: valet parking is available for $25, but there’s also a nearby parking lot just a short walk away if you'd prefer to skip the valet. Also, there's no iron or ironing board in the room, so be sure to pack your clothes wrinkle-free if you plan to go out. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing escape — whether for a romantic trip or just a break from the noise — I’d highly recommend Rivet House. It's a 10/10 for us. We’re already planning to return, and next time, we’re definitely trying the spa!

The parking was very inconvenient. It was a long walk. The bathroom could’ve had a sink in it. There was plenty of room for it and a mirror to add for locations for people getting ready. There should’ve been more places for hanging up towels and other things.

There were not many guests so the front desk could easily placed me in a room other than beside the train tracks. Instead they put me in the room with earplugs! Desk clerk could have warned me about the train activity throughout the night but she was silent on the issue. There are no real breakfast options here even though there is s restaurant on site. Just a "coffee and danish bar" staffed by a most uninterested employee. Served my coffee with artificial sweetener...once tasted I asked her if it was sugar, she said "no, yellow packet, we dont have any sugar!" really?? The decor was amazing its just that the staff did not live up to the aesthetics of the building. they need to hire people who are interested and excited to welcome guests or professional actors with a script who can at least fake it. i

Beautiful hotel. But they are right next to a loud train track. They give you ear plugs but they did not work and the light from the train woke me up. The bed was no comfortable. It was lumpy and too soft with no shape. They also charge a $150 PER DAY incidental charge. I stayed 2 nights and after checking my card they charged me for three. I called to fix this and left a message with the staff but no one called back to apologize. All in all beautiful hotel but unless you are staying on a side that does not face the train. Do not stay here. You won’t get any sleep

There should be a very prominent disclaimer about the hotel's location directly adjacent to a very busy railroad track, and no rooms should be used on that side of the building unless and until the other side is completely occupied.
