We loved this place. Perfect location, quiet, comfy! Apt 201 is unfussy with super clear Roami instructions. Entry is from street level (vestibule has a washer/dryer closet) and you walk upstairs to the main apartment. The best feature is its location—we listened to music on Frenchmen until around 1-2am every night and walked here in less than five minutes. And there's a little market downstairs. We couldn't have hoped for better at this price point and really felt fortunate to have been in this spot for our five days there. All that said, be realistic—I believe any of my criticisms about this place would apply to any other vacation rental apartment in this price range or pricier. The walls are a bit scuffed, the couch is marked up, the bed frame is squeaky, and we did squash a roach (roaches are super common in NOLA and it was downstairs). The cozy vibe is put off by the Roami signs warning you about potential extra fees. Finally, one of the three locks on the downstairs door to the street doesn't work (you still have two good locks!) and the locks on the balcony windows and door were flimsy. Ultimately, the apartment was clean and perfect for our purposes (aka a place to sleep or reconnoiter in a relatively central spot while planning to be out and about a lot, but making 2 or 3 meals ourselves and taking a work video conference call). My partner is already talking about our next trip to New Orleans and booking this same property, so we’d absolutely return.

The property is in an amazing location, was spacious, comfy and clean. Cute decor, nice amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. But. When we arrived one bathroom had no towels. There were instructions for finding towels in a bureau out in the lobby but that was empty. We were able to find some eventually in another closet in the lobby. We then could not get the door from the lobby to outside to stay closed (locked) I sent a note to Roami that was never answered. For checkout (11am) we were asked to enter a special code in the door to indicate we had checked out. While still in bed at 9am, someone lightly knocked and then opened the door to our space to see if we were still there (left with no conversation). There were a lot of good things but not sure they outweighed the not so good.

OMG! Firstly, a man in room 106 pulled a GUN on me and my family because he said we were too loud, we were just laughing at a movie 🎥, then I attempted to call 911 in New Orleans 10 times and even waved down an officer 👮 and he said he couldn’t help me, I was fearing for my life and got no help! There was no manager or personnel on property, UNACCEPTABLE! There were no lights around the entrance, the curtains on the windows didn’t cover up the entire window so people could look in on us, the floor was dirty and had pieces of broken glass, I almost cut my foot going barefoot, the dryer didn’t work - it kept stopping after 1 minute and the bathtub was clogged. I will NEVER come back to this establishment. I demand a refund or some sort of compensation. I need charges filed on that crazy man in room 106 with a firearm 🔫 and by the way we were unarmed.

Great location - you're close to the French Quarter, Frenchman, and the Marigny/Bywater. Everything is walkable and there's a trolly stop a block away. The place itself is fine and very livable for a few days. Not super quiet - you can feel the rumble of the train and you're on a busy street so bring a sound machine. Nice to have a kitchen so you can reheat leftovers - it's not really stocked well for cooking. They supplied us with coffee but no filters. Dishwasher, but no dish soap. Blowdryer that didn't fit the outlet. The floors and furniture were so dirty - it was a little gross sitting on the couch. Furniture was pretty wonky and needs updating. It definitely feels run down but the location can't be beat.

Great location for the French Quarter. There’s also a boutique food market at the same building which is very convenient. I originally booked a one-bedroom/bath unit; but was surprisedly upgraded to a two-bedroom/2-bath loft. Very spacious. Well-appointed kitchen. Washer/dryer in unit as well.

I booked a trip and wanted to extend the duration a couple nights. Hotels.com told me to get in touch with Roami so I emailed them, but never heard back. New Orleans has a $100 tax on every reservation so making another two night reservation was out of the question. I ended up staying at a roach motel for those two nights to save some money. The place itself is in a great location. It has a small market with all the necessities in the same building. It is new and modern in appearance, yet set in an old brick building. There were a few glaring issues. After every shower I noticed my feet would turn black after walking around on the floors. They need to be mopped well. Also it was very cold for a couple nights and the unit is extremely drafty. I could feel cool air coming in by the windows like they have zero insulation. The mini split was only helpful if I stayed right under it. Since it is rarely cold I don't foresee this being an issue for many people. The last and biggest issue was how incredibly thin the walls are. My unit was one of the last ones down the hall, but I could hear a pin drop at the front entrance with 5 or 6 rooms in the between. I assume the room next to mine was a loft because I heard every tiny foot step up and down stairs and every conversation like the other guests were speaking to me directly. This is very annoying, especially in New Orleans, a city that is geared towards getting a little rowdy.

Nice, historic property that's close to a lot of things. Starting from check-in to check-out... The instructions to get in were a little off (told us to go to a door on the side, then walk through the hall to get to our door, but our door was on the front of the building and not through a hallway. The parking is a little higher than we expected ($25/day). The windows are historic, meaning they are fashion over function. Neither window sealed shut, so we were getting small critters (fruit flies, moths, etc.) In regularly. The doors to the small balcony do not latch shut entirely, so if someone really wanted to climb to the 2nd floor balcony, they could pretty easily break in. There is only 1 TV in the unit, the one in the main living area. No TV in the bedroom. So, if you like to watch TV in bed, you may need to use the pull-out sofa. We didn’t think much about the sound from outside being a problem until night time when the trains (which is right at the stop light nearby) would come by. Apparently trains aren't required to not blow their horns at night because they were definitely blowing the horns excessively all night. You can also hear the screeching from the tracks. There are 2 small closets in the bedroom, but they were pretty dusty, so we didn’t feel comfortable hanging black formal clothes in there, worried the dust would show. Overall, out stay was fine. We probably wouldn't stay here again, only because it was hard to get a good nights sleep.
