Hallways stunk like weed and smoke. Inconvenient, construction and trash containers everywhere. When I pulled up out front I couldn’t drive out I had to back out onto the main road. Bathroom had hair from the previous person.

Hotel was clean. Needs to be updated. But a nice place ti crash. Ocean front view really made the deal. Very nice and went to sleep with the ocean waves crashing my worries away.

This is by far the best budget hotel in VA Beach. The family that runs it is so nice. The place is clean and the location is amazing! This is my go to hotel, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else,

PICTURES ARE DECEIVING! THIS HOTEL LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICS.
DONT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN AVOID. CONSTRUCTION ZONE, NO SIGNAGE, NAILS ON THE FLOOR, RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, BLOCKED OFF SIDEWALKS, YOULL BE WALKING ON THE STREET TO GET IN/OUT OF THE HOTEL. NOT ADA CONPLIANT. RESORT FEE, BUT NO BREAKFAST, NOT EVEN SUGAR FOR COFFEE, POOL NOT OPEN, DIRTY POOL DECK, DIRTY HALLS/ROOMS.

It was just okay. I understand that we stayed during a remodeling period but there was literally supplies just laying out all over the property. There was no effort to keep things out of the way for guest and on the 3rd floor that i stayed on the lights were literally just hanging down from the ceiling. Even with them being in the middle of remodeling I can’t say that i would want to give the place a second chance. At least the staff was friendly and the actual room itself was clean.

The front desk woman (I did not get her name), was extremely nice to us, there is nothing wrong with her customer service. The problem was the room. The shower had hairs on the wall and in the sink (which were not mine), the bedding was wrinkled, couch dirty with stains, the TV did not work when we first for in the room, and there was only 1 towel in the room for 2 people on the reservation. I've stayed here before last year and it was much better than this time. I probably would not come back here again, but only based off the quality of the room.

Filthy, unhealthy, disgusting.
Room down the hall had a pack of large logs that echoed their barking all night long.
Staff is inept and uncaring.

This property was totally misrepresented online by the pictures. The rooms were fine. But having to walk through the lobby and elevators to get to your room would make you question. The pool area looked like it had been abandoned. The pool was lime green with trash floating in it - not the gorgeous blue and clean space posted online.

The front desk agent who checked me in was awesome! She was accommodating and welcoming.
We checked in with our 2 dogs, who are pretty well behaved, we left for dinner and got a call from the police, threatening eviction if the dogs did not stop barking. Never received a call from the front desk or hotel at all, just straight to the police. Very weird. We would’ve come straight back had we gotten a call from the front desk. Very poor customer service in that regard.
Otherwise hotel was fine, and the front desk agent who checked us in was awesome, I wish I had gotten her name

Half the building is under construction and everything is covered in spackle. The building is unable to heat water to any floor properly and it will take you 45 minutes while running the sink and shower to get warm water. The staff is disrespectful, and very unprofessional. You will have to pay for additional parking that is not attached to the hotel but rather diagonally across the street from the property. However due to their recent construction half of that parking is actually occupied with construction vehicles. The rooms have very bad ventilation for the bathrooms so they will steam the room. Never once for almost a week did we ONCE have any sort of room service offered even upon request. The breakfast bar is very basic when it was offered at all for one day. There are no cameras on the floors or elevators . Overall I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone you have any care for! I would recommend taking your business down the street to the far more respectful and accommodating hotels and motels in the area if you would like to focus on the location rather than your hotel for your stay!

The only positive was the fact it was on the ocean. Our tub would not hold water, there was hair from previous guests in the tub and all around the bathroom, no on site parking and VERY little area to pull into at the front to check in and unload. Staff didn't share clear directions about the off site parking garage, their computer system was down and delayed our check in. I understand they are renovating and hope that will make things better for their future guests.

Overall was good. Brought my girl for the weekend for valentines. Got a private balcony with a single king bed. Bed was clean but the protector had hair all stuck in it. Needs to be replaced.
Hard floors - i spilled some water and cleaned it up with a rag. The rag was so frogging dirty it made me think if they had ever mopped the floors before. Besides that the room was pretty clean.
Hotel was also only half open due to rennovation, but its off season and this is when it gets done. I just wish they would have told me beforehand.
The building overall NEEDS rennovation. The walls and floors are dated and falling apart.

There was a HOT, STRIPPED, EXPOSED WIRE COMING OUT OF ONE OF THE MONI SPLIT UNITS. If a child grabs that they can DIE. Okay? Youre going to kill a child because youre getting cheap work done. 5th floor mini split near room 512.
Overall, i had a good time. It was quiet in our room and i loved the view.

Terrible room seemed nicely updated until you look closer. Chair was disgusting, bathtub had chipped paint , walls had peeling dry wall. Grounds were trashy (not from construction ! I would bet the inside updating was done by the owners !( very unprofessional). The outside temperature was 40 the lobby was 40 . I have alot of picks backing my complaints. They won't load.

Was unable to check in to my room due to a family emergency. Tried reaching out to the property several times along with emailing hotels.com and no response. Finally out touch with someone and my refund was denied i even had traveler's insurance with this room just in case anything happened.

Our recent stay was disappointing, though the staff’s kindness was a bright spot. The front desk clerk was very sweet and accommodating, but the overall state of the hotel left much to be desired.
Our first room had a broken air conditioner, making it uncomfortably hot. Maintenance was unable to fix it, so we were moved to another room. Unfortunately, the second room also had issues—there was no water running to the toilet. With the hotel fully booked, we had no choice but to make do until the morning.
What was most concerning was the cleanliness of the first room. Our daughter pointed out what we believed to be bodily fluids on a chair, which was extremely unsettling and suggested a lack of proper cleaning after the previous tenant.
This was especially disappointing as we stayed here last year and had a much better experience. However, the hotel is now undergoing construction on the side where we stayed, and it seems to have negatively impacted its upkeep.
While the staff was friendly and did their best to assist, management urgently needs to address these maintenance and cleanliness issues. A thorough deep cleaning of Room 417 is especially necessary.
The staff’s efforts helped make the situation more manageable, but the state of the rooms was unacceptable, and I hope management takes immediate steps to improve.

Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were surprised to find no mention of ongoing renovations on either the hotel’s website or the third-party booking site. Accessing the front of the hotel with a vehicle was quite challenging due to extensive construction work taking place. The check-in process was relatively smooth, but upon reaching our room, which was advertised as having two double beds with a full ocean view, we discovered that we had been assigned a room with double beds overlooking the pool and only a partial view of the ocean. I returned to the front desk to address this discrepancy, but despite presenting evidence of my reservation, they refused to accommodate my request for the room I had paid for, leaving me with no option but to accept the situation. Upon inspecting the room, as I typically do in hotels, I found trash and candy under the beds, and the toilet leaked water onto the floor every time it was flushed. The curtains appeared to have been soiled, and the mechanism for opening and closing them was carelessly placed on the air conditioner. Additionally, the constant construction noise disrupted any hope of peace during our stay, which was one of the primary reasons for our visit. The hotel’s layout posed a significant safety concern, as there was only one entrance and exit, raising alarms about potential fire hazards.
