The Royal Sonesta Washington DC Capitol Hill

I think the facilities were more than I expected but the true wonder of the hotel was the staff they all were welcoming and helpful. That includes the front next, the people at the door, housekeeping and the dinning room. I will return the next time in DC because of the wonderful staff.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel and it was great value for money. Super clean room and it had things like a makeup remover flannel and all the toiletries. The bistro was good but the menu does not list all of the ingredients, so I was surprised by a lot of chopped onion on my mini-salad which I did not eat and the same for another food item but with a lot of garlic. There was no English Breakfast tea or black tea of any kind which for a hotel with international clients is unfortunate. The surrounding area is unsafe but it is like any big city in that way. Very close to Union Station and the Metro Red Line.

The bathroom was very clean! The bed is soft and spacious. I didn’t want to leave my room.

The rooms are immaculate... breakfast situation could be better (more vegan options)

Parking was rather expensive but the service was amazing

Front desk Jose was the best I have experienced in more than 10 years of traveling! Hotel was beautiful and Bistro was very good.

Beautiful hotel with new feel to it. only stayed one night but the room had a nice unique and pleasant decor. The TV is huge ( kudos), The room has a very nice coffee service with liquid creamers ( kudos again). My critical needs are comfortable bed, plenry of hot water with good water pressure and a responsive/ effective temperature control. Royal Sonesta meets all three ! mini fridge and safe are also present. No microwave however . nice desk area with chair plus an additional chair for seating with a small table are great touches The bathroom is gorgeous with nice lighting and a very nice lighted make up mirror. Large shower with combo rain shower head and handheld wand. I wish all hotels had this. They even had a bathrobe in the bathroom closet where the iron and ironing board were stored. Yet there was a separate wardrobe. This provides 2 closet spaces. Good job there Sonesta. 2 bottles of Evian.water are available and will set you back $7 each.BUT there are 2 complimentary bottles of water that can be used for the coffee maker or to use as you please. Applause again Sonesta! I did knowingly choose a gallery view room to save money. There is a window but it looks out to what appears to be a large conference space. The lower part is frosted i imagine for privacy. no view was no problem for me to save money. $65 valet parking is my main negative ( a bit higher than most ridiculously high.dc hotel parking charges. I think no free breakfast.

This was my first time staying at any Royal Sonesta and I was thoroughly pleased with this location! From the moment I arrived the staff was friendly and accommodating - and the room was spacious, clean and super cute.

Great stay

Great Location. Staff was very nice. Room was very clean and spacious. The lobby is gorgeous. Valet parking is $65 that's a little extreme and the $12/day food expense basically covers nothing.

The property was extremely clean and smelled great. The French restaurant was an added bonus. Will definitely stay there again.

As usual the stay was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful also the restaurant was top class.

What an incredible hotel! Nice, big room, stylish decor, friendly staff, clean, and great location. I loved the shampoo, conditioner, and soaps as well. My only complaint was that the water pressure in the shower was very weak. Otherwise, a perfect hotel.
