The hotel was in a great location and the rooms were clean. My only complaint was the pool. I specifically chose the hotel for the pool not knowing it's closed from 2pm on the weekends for a 21+ event. I was there with family. If I knew about that I would have chosen a different hotel. It was very disappointing as I was there for a long weekend in the heat of summer

I really enjoyed my stay at Yotel, the rooftop bar area is amazing. I wish they had ice buckets in the rooms and there was always cups and supplies at the water station on each floor

So to start with the positives, the hotel was lovely and modern. The staff at the front desk were exceptional, especially Dewan (sorry if spelling incorrect), the bar staff at the downstairs bar, especially the woman who was on duty, can't remember her name but she was working during the day in 4th July, amazing. The room is modern, clean and has everything you need and the staff even left us a little welcome basket for anniversary which was a lovely touch. This would be a perfect review if it wasn't for what happened at the pool on the roof. Bar staff were short staffed and really worked very hard to serve everyone so I commend them. We did not however know there would be pool parties throughout the summer on the roof (it's a small pool and roof area) and that they would be open to hundreds of people not staying there. This was not announced to us when chilling out on the roof, as paying guests, and we only discovered this was happening when people's chairs and tables, including our own, were being removed by outside contracted staff without even a word as why. We were told we could attend the party with wristbands (how very nice) but it ruined the relaxed vibe most guests were there for, made us feel unwelcomed and meant we couldn't use our main pool facility unless we wanted to party. Police and ambulances showed up to a few incidences which meant the hotel felt a lot more unsafe. Overall a great stay but sullied by the parties that happened.

This location is near a fire station, so be warned. Also, on Saturday and Sunday, the rooftop pool turns into a “club” and anyone off the street can come in.

I hate that this property offers day passes for the pool to local residences causing for the pool to be crowded, ruining the vacation mood. And I hate to begrudge a business from making money, but renting out the entire pool deck on a Saturday afternoon and closing it to guests is bad business when that’s the main draw of this hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable but you can get that for a comparable price at a million other places in the same area. The downstairs lobby, bar, and restaurant area might as well be a nightclub on weekends nights and is definitely not family friendly.

It was in a very convenient location from the Train station and within walking distance to the capitol. There were stores and places to eat within walking distance as well as a nice stroll ( 20 minutes) to the Walter E. convention center area. The food at the in house restaurant was good as well as the breakfast. They had everything that I liked . The Room was very nice but we had an inside room so no street view. Loved the desk help and the greeters. Made us feel welcomed and accommodated us when we needed something or had a question. We loved the European vibe. Love the coffee bar on the floor setup. Now the only thing I did not like was the odor on the floor we were on. If they would make sure the air system had a nice clean sent. I think it was the water used to mop the floors.... Get some Fabuloso or something.

With the exception of one waiter, the experience with the restaurant was subpar. They had no milk products because everything had gone bad. They disregard the interests of hotel guests in favor of those coming to attend a pool party they supposedly have every weekend. As a guest, you are paying for the use of the amenities. To interfere with that without additional accommodations is terrible.

Stayed here with my whole family , the hotel was clean and in good condition , friendly and accommodating staff , great location , 8min walking distance to Union Station ( lots of restaurants to eat) and 15 mins walk to National mall . The only thing is the hotel has weird policy like coffee done serving after 10 am ( coffee machine is at the hotels hallway each floor and can’t have it after that ) and swimming pool closes at 9pm . When you want to relax after your long day at the museum/ national mall - you can’t access the pool since it closes early . Hope they change their hours , except for those it’s really a nice place to stay at.

We booked this hotel because of the pool. We found out after booking that the pool was rented out to another vendor on Saturday and Sunday for pool parties. The parties were super loud and it cost $500 to rent a single sun lounger if you wanted to sit. Would have liked to know this before booking.

Hotel was just fine, nothing special. Front desk people were so great so arrival and check in were easy. However, towels were an issue, we started with 4 and they were replaced each day with only 2 towels -for 3 people that didn’t work and I had to go to the front desk to get them because even with calls they weren’t delivered. We booked the hotel for a family wedding in the area, so we booked several rooms and planned on spending the 4th on our rooftop. However as we returned to the hotel on the afternoon of the 4th we found out our rooftop was closed to hotel guests or we could pay $60 to attend a “club” on the rooftop! Not where we could take our families! There was no prior notification of this “club” happening. So be warned because we found out this will be happening every weekend during the summer. Trust me the crowd that is attending is not who you want children around. Very disappointed!

Sad we could not use the pool because of a pool party for over 21’s and we were travelling with an 18 and 16 year old. If you are booking for the pool and have kids check this first. Otherwise everything else was amazing, location, amenities, beds and more.
