Absolutely the best hotel in Caracas right now. Best location and new facilities. There are not five stars hotels in Caracas but the Renaissance is the closets it gets to a top rated hotel. Very good restaurants in the vicinity but try not to walk at night since is a dangerous city. Take a taxi from the hotel. Hotel restaurant is O.K. for breakfast but there are better options close by for lunch and dinner. Helpful staff but Venezuelans still need training in customer service when compared to other countries like Mexico. I travel often to Caracas and have tried all the hotels there but The Renaissance is definitely the best overall bet.
