More about hotels in Mau Due
Hotels near Mau Due, Ha Giang Loop
Mau Due is a small commune in Yen Minh District, in the far north of what's now Tuyen Quang Province following Vietnam's 2025 provincial merger — still widely known to travellers by its pre-merger name, Ha Giang, and as one of the most dramatic stretches of the famous Ha Giang Loop motorbike route. This is remote highland Vietnam: terraced fields, limestone mountains and small ethnic-minority villages, not a resort or hotel town.
Honest note on where to actually stay
Traveloka doesn't currently list any hotels directly in Mau Due itself — it's a road junction and farming commune, not a place built for overnight stays. The genuine base for this stretch of the loop is Du Gia, a village about 40km away via the Mau Due junction on Highway 4C/DT181, which has become one of the loop's best-loved overnight stops. If you're riding through Mau Due, plan to push on to Du Gia or back to Yen Minh town rather than expecting to book a room on the spot.
Where to stay around Du Gia and Yen Minh
- Du Gia Stream Lodge — a riverside lodge in Du Gia village.
- Thien An Hotel Yen Minh — a straightforward hotel base in Yen Minh town.
- Milk Homestay and Du Gia Waterfall Hostel & Homestay — local homestay-style stays near Du Gia's waterfall.
Getting there and around
This is loop country — almost everyone arrives by rented motorbike or a guided jeep/motorbike tour from Ha Giang City, around 100km/3+ hours away. There's no realistic way to see this stretch without your own transport or a tour.
