I like everything of this eco lodge, the surroundings, the design, the hospitality of the host. The host is very nice and arrange different activities for us, like a boat trip to Lan ha bay, some recommended trekking routes, along with some pick up service. Thanks so much! As the eco lodge is near the nature, you may meet some little insects, but it is very normal and the room is very clean.

A very picturesque spot. Some lovely hikes from the lodge, butterfly valley was very nice & did see hundreds of butterflies. Staff are extremely attentive and go out of their way to make your stay just perfect. Food was very tasty & fairly reasonable in price & breakfast good too. The present owners have great plans to improve the place even more, it was a unique experience. The twice daily free shuttle into Cat Ba town was really handy so we didn’t feel stranded with no transportation.

Cat Ba Lodge is a decent place. It is in the process of becoming eco friendly and there is a lot that the property is working towards in improving itself. At the moment, I wouldnt regard it as a greatly comfortable place, though its not bad. The staff went out of their way in ensuring they made the stay as comfortable as possible. There isnt much in the immediate vicinity except for trekking through the national park. Town is a good 30 min drive. Rooms are basic and more can be done to provide a forest like experience in comfort,

If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings, this is a very good choice. It is completely off the beaten track but we never had any difficulty getting to or from the lodge. The staff are delightful and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the bathrooms/wet rooms are large and well equipped. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced-I recommend the vegetable spring rolls. In these days of plastic pollution it was lovely to find bamboo straws in use-I wonder where I can buy them.

Had a great stay here. A little away from town but a short taxi ride away are great shop front eateries, shops etc. the lodge provides a free shuttle to town at 9 am returning at 4. Meals were great and the complimentary breakfast great. Staff were both friendly and helpful, cannot talk more highly of them. Would definitely go back. There are apparently plans for a pool which would be a fantastic addition.

We stayed here for 2 nights, it's a little out of the way but that's why it's wonderful. Sucha pretty and relaxing place, taxis are cheap or you can rent a scooter for £3 a day. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was lovely, the rooms are clean and quirky and the general atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming.

The staff was wonderfully accommodating and helpful. The location is far off the beaten track, but that's what we expected and enjoyed. The room, unfortunately, while spacious and overall decent, was lacking - the heating didn't work, and the hot water ran out and never came back (both might have been unfortunate luck, and the problems were relevant in the middle of the night and we stayed only one night so couldn't experience any fix). The room was clean overall, as was the entire hotel, but the room did smell a little. Then again - its a lodge in the middle of the jungle of Cat Ba Island, so some of this should be expected.

The surroundings are wonderful, with fantastic views of the mountains although not the easiest for taxi drivers to access. The room and amenities were clean and the servers were kind. The room setup and eating area was very simple. I'd suggest to ownership to invest a little in decorations as some basic improvements could make a huge difference in the overall feel. Also, the large wardrobes which block the rooms' only window is unnecessary and prevents much-needed natural light. Otherwise an enjoyable stay!

Abends konnte man alacart bestellen, was immer sehr gut geschmeckt hat.

Abends konnte man alacart bestellen, was immer sehr gut geschmeckt hat.
