From the initial contact, to arrange the airport transfer, and all through my fortnight stay at this wonderful hotel I was met with great service and friendly staff who wanted to help me enjoy my stay as much as possible. Highly commendable. The hotel and spa is in a great location in the Old Quarter and I’d definitely stay there again.

A great place to start our trip. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome right away. While our room didn’t have a view, the rooftop offered stunning skyline scenes – well worth a visit, especially in the evening. The location made it easy to get around the Old Quarter. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and fresh options each morning. Comfortable, convenient, and a good base for exploring Hanoi.

The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The AC also didn’t work well, our room was brutally hot. It was colder in the hallway. We also didn’t have a window we could open because there is a sign saying don’t open it. The noise was also brutal. You could hear everything from everywhere and construction started at 630AM. Between the uncomfortable bed, the heat and all the noise I didn’t get any sleep. The staff was awesome though and that was the only saving grace to this place.

So glad we found Hanoi Paon Hotel & Spa. The price is great & the staff go above and beyond with their excellent service. Since we were new to Vietnam, we chose to book a ride from and back to the airport through the hotel, and Ellen at the front desk made sure that we could find the driver when we landed at the airport through Expedia message and WhatsApp. Alice helped our group book a fantastic day trip to Ha Long Bay. Kelvin also made us feel so welcome & helped make everything so smooth for our coming and going from the hotel. The room was very clean & comfortable. There was a little mold on the ceiling in the room & bathroom, but that’s probably unavoidable with the intense humidity in Hanoi/Vietnam. The included breakfast upstairs is good and simple. You can make your own Banh Mi with the ingredients provided, or you can go to the omelette station, or choose whatever else you want from their buffet line. You can also ask the staff for Pho. Peter made sure we had all that we needed during breakfast. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Hanoi. The location is perfect in the Old Quarter - close to everything, but far enough from the party streets so it’s quiet enough for sleep/resting. Their Jasmine Spa is AMAZING! We were so relaxed after our couples massage. We felt very taken cared of and had a fantastic stay in Hanoi thanks to the staff at Hanoi Paon Hotel & Spa. Thank you so much!!

Although the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, EVERYTHING else about Hanoi Paon was excellent. Our paramount praise goes to the hotel staff from front desk to bell staff. Bell staff ALWAYS were right there to open doors and assist me with my weak hip that makes climbing steps difficult. Bravo to these attentive guys. Our tip paled in comparison to their hard work!
