Room super beautiful view. Very comfortable. Will visit next time.
It was out of the busy city, which was great for us, it was a 10 min cycle ride, which we had free bikes given to us by our host. A great place to stay to see Hoi An. A great host and book your onward travel with her as we could of got the bus journey cheaper than we did, as we booked it in Hoi An.
It was amazing looking around Hoi An and going by bike to the herb farm and beach.
We also had a good breakfast each morning.
It's one of the reasons I came all the way to this acient town called Hoi An. I stayed in this family runned homestay in 2014 and I had absolutely loved it. The lady owner is so kind throughout the stay. She helped me to arrange a taxi for a reasonable price to airport, I also rented a motorbike from her for a good price. They do have free bicycles to borrow tho. When I was there in 2014, her eldest son was still a very young man and this time when I came back he'd married, and her other children have grown up as well, it's just amazing. I actually love the location as well. It's slightly far away from main tourist spots, takes about 15mins to walk start from the bridge. At night this little island is totally peaceful, and the homestay definitely gives you the home feelings. I loved neighbourhood as well. There's a spa shop nearby gave me so much discount with amazing service. Despite they living in a very much commercial community, I felt like as a tourist living not far away from tourist attractions I still received excellent service. I will definitely return to this homestay if I visit Hoian next time.
Homeland River Homestay is just lovely. We stayed here 3 nights.
- beautiful owners, friendly and incredibly accommodating. Would do anything to make their guests happy.
- location is a little bit out of the way, about 15 min walk to where the action is a nice walk along the river will get you there, but we just took a scooter.
- scooters can be hired directly from the homestay, about $8AUD a day, or 132,000 dong. We didn't try to barter this. Just we're happy to pay as the owner is so kind and generous.
- bicycles can also be hired which would be great if you're not comfortable on a scooter. I think these were free. (But not 100% sure)
- exceptionally clean room and bathroom.
- large room.
- big bed, queen maybe, and clean linen. A blanket is in the cupboard, only a sheet is dressed upon arrival.
- beds are firm.
- fan and aircon work a treat.
- room got a bit muggy through the day, and seemed to get slightly damp. This could have been the time of year we are travelling - raining and drizzling most of the day, but still can be quite warm during some parts of the day.
- delicious food and really cheap too.
Overall, I absolutely and highly recommend Homeland River Homestay.
