There are many hotels in the old town. They are almost all of similar width (apparently they are taxed on the size of their frontage). The main benefit of this hotel is that it is in walking distance of all the sites in Hanoi, such as the lake and citadel. The hotel has been recently renovated so it is clean and everything works - the room's aircon was exceptional. A special mention to the receptionist staff who were lovely.

The property itself was beautiful and great attention was paid to the furnishings and lobby, rooms and restaurant. The staff were amazing. Mei was very professional and friendly. We especially loved the sky bar staff and the bellman Andrew.
The rooms had every amenity needed. The only criticism was the shower tended to create a river in the bathroom. And it’s a bit tough if you’re a short person to get in and out of the tub. (But we loved the classy bathroom!)
The breakfast was delicious and the variety was plentiful. We enjoyed having pho in the morning!
We would stay again!

The only disapointment was the size of the pool, but the hotel is in a prime location and i doubt any local hotels have a good sized pool.

Great location, charming hotel with lovely decor, really friendly staff. Breakfast is included and was a good selection, although staff were rearranging things with their fingers which we didn’t love! The only thing that was a problem in the room was the shower.. we had two rooms, one had a walk in shower that flooded the floor and the other had a bath with no screen, so neither room made it possible to have a relaxing shower! Which is what you need at the end of a hot day

Wonderful hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter in Hanoi....walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy the sights and sounds of Hanoi........many restaurants and the hotel itself has a great rooftop bar and restaurant.......oh, the front porch area has private seating and tables for their guests to watch the hustle and bustle of Hanoi go by......enjoy!

This is a beautiful hotel with a great staff in a wonderful location. On our last day, the shower drain was slow (which we told the staff about), which is why we didn't give this a perfect rating. Otherwise, it was an absolutely fantastic place, and we highly recommend it.

The service here is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. All of the staff are so kind and helpful. They check you in with a nice little beverage and then they provide you with a sheet of local recommendations which was great because I was honestly a little unprepared.They reached out several times asking to book our airport shuttle to the hotel. They also made extra effort to book our airport shuttle back to the airport even after we had been checked out of the hotel for two days, upon our return from a cruise. Also, spoken English by the staff is VERY good here so there is no concern of miscommunication.

At the center of Hanoi old district, I was able to walk Hoan Kiam lake, train street, the cathedral and other tourist attractions. The hotel facility is very convenient and cozy (i.e., hot water is available at shower in less than a second). The view from the roof top is also recommended.
