I booked a few days in advance, and my colleague booked on the day itself. We both boarded smoothly. While the elevator does require a queue, the experience is well worth it, with the star-filled ceiling. The observatory is quite crowded in the afternoon, but you can still enjoy the view of Taipei. There are several great Instagrammable spots. The exit queue is also well-organized. It's definitely worth it for the price.

A great location to see all of Taipei from one of the tallest buildings in the world. Awesome.

Easy and fast exchange. The view from the top is also very good, deliberately choose to enter at 5 o'clock so you can get the afternoon & evening view. Unfortunately when I went there it was raining in the afternoon so the outdoor area was closed even though the rain had stopped at night 🥲 Overall, recommended for first timers to Taipei!
