Very nice

Hotel Colon is by far my worst hotel experience. Despite being marketed as a 4-star establishment, the reality was far from it. The filthy conditions immediately affected our health, causing constant sneezing and coughing. The hotel rooms were in a deplorable state—ceiling paint peeling, stained headboards, and an overall level of grime that is utterly unacceptable. Worsening the situation, the rooms facing the street had no air conditioning, forcing a switch to another room that was no improvement. The bathroom in this second room was covered in mold and rust, and shockingly, the shower had an exposed hole in the wall leading to what appeared to be a crawl space. After just one night, the poor conditions were making me more ill, forcing an early departure. Adding insult to injury, after leaving for health reasons, both the hotel and Expedia refused to refund the unused portion of my stay. This refusal, paired with the false advertising of the rooms online, made the ordeal even more frustrating. Avoid Hotel Colon at all costs and be very weary of Expedia when booking if you value your health, comfort, and money. Pictures below speak for themselves.

The pictures on the internet do not represent the current condition of the hotel or its rooms. It is run-down and in disrepair. The elevators barely function. Our "suite" (Room 1202, presumably the nicest room at the hotel) was dirty, its furniture was broken, the shower was dangerous, no ice, no room service, no telephone, etc.

Outdated rooms and property but had a good breakfast. Pictures are a little misleading. Great location.

Nearly everything was great. The location, check in, check out, the front desk staff, guest room attendant, the kitchen/dining staff, and the continental breakfast all were very good. The only complaint? It is summer in December in Argentina. Everyone knows this. We specifically chose the Colón for its location and that it was air conditioned. Unfortunately, the AC had broken down. They moved us to a room that did not have direct sunlight and provided a stand fan. Actually, since we were not in the room during the day this, combined with a shower before bed, worked out well.

This Property has not had Air Conditioning for over 2 months!!! This was not listed on the Expedia site - so I could not choose a different property. Note:; It is November 2024 in Argentina and that is Spring/Summer. It was brutally HOT, Muggy and unbearable. They has a limited number a fans - that only pushed around HOT - Musty Air. The Hotel is in Need of a complete overhall The Beds were Lumpy and saggy, the furnitue was from 1970's and the breakfast was disgusting and inedible. The location is good ... IF ALL problems were fixed... it could be a decent location. Over all - a 1 star or less. Do NOT stay here. I am going to ask Expedia for my money back... It was that painful

Due to season our ac wasnt working and they would not put it on. Our room got extremely hot during the day and nights even with the windows fully open.

Excellent location, reasonable price and quite comfortable mattress

The hotel is at a good location, right at the famous Buenos Aires obelisk. One thing they need to put in the room is a chair and a table. I had to keep a laptop and a mouse on the bed. There is enough space in the room for it.

From the beginning I was told the air conditioner was not working, but they gave me a fan. I wasn’t much in my room so I didn’t care. It was a good price and central location.

Easy to walk downtown

The check-in was flawless and Adrian the front desk person was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The view from the room was awesome as it reflected what the pictures showed of the obelisk.
