The staff were very good. Room was big and clean and tidy. Breakfast was quite busy but food refreshed constantly. Restaurant didn’t open until 6pm but food available in bar area.

Family friendly short stay. Easy to get to, with good facilities

Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. I travelled with my adult children and they felt unwelcome when using facilities without me.

Work stay

We were not able to use the indoor pool as they introduced a rule of booking the pool for 30 minutes at "Health Centre Desk". There was no staff available to take the bookings and when became available there was no booking left for the pool through out the 3 days of our stay. Breakfast time was horrible, long queues, waiting for ages and miss management. The manager was quite dismissive of everything and was confrontational when complained. Terrible experience. Never again!

The was an incident the ruined my trip where two parents started shouting aggressively at each other the pool. And scared my autistic son so I had to leave. I told the hostess about it and he didn't seem to care at all. He stated these sort of things happen all the time. So parents please be aware. I also booked a room in advance with a mini fridge and didn't get a room with the fridge. It was disappointing and frustrating.

Lovely modern and clean hotel outside the centre of Newcastle but conveniently just off the A1. Much cheaper than city centre hotels and free secure parking. Lovely smell in the reception and helpful staff. The room was spacious and clean wit 2 very comfortable king beds, tea/coffee making, bath and toiletries. Our room looked out over countryside so even better. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

All staff were so happy, polite and friendly, really made a difference. Lovely stay and will return when I’m in the area.

Great location- plenty of parking, great staff - friendly and efficient. Facilities excellent, room lovely and clean.

It was where it was needed - had to stop after long journey. Nothing special and a bit overpriced. The photos give a very positive impression that’s not reality ( I felt) Noisy check in and later with groups of kids at very high volume - not sure if there was a competition locally or …..? Bed and pillows not comfortable for me but I’m particular - Travelodge on way south more to my bed needs. Flush on toilet kept sticking during the night so annoying Basically I would not return.

Rooms refurbished to a great standard, staff as helpful as ever.

We had a comfortable stay. Slightly disappointed that we were not informed when I booked that there was an Elvis tribute act on as I was asked if there were any special requests and I said it was my husbands 60th.

Despite a short stay, staff was really friendly at every opportunity. The hotel is a standard Holiday Inn and fills the need for a night stay. Bathroom was cleaned but a ladies shaver was left in the room and a couple hair to be found, but that didn't really affect my stay.

Staff were great! Genuinely nice to us on arrival and were helpful and really accommodating for my kids coeliac/gluten free needs.
