I really enjoyed my stay! Great breakfast, awesome location, spacious room; small, but well-equipped gym, comfy bed, and most importantly: super nice and service-minded employees! Since the staff was so amazing, I was surprised to find my bed not being made after housekeeping had cleaned my room - they exchanged the towels, emptied the trash, but apparently forgot about the bed…

Fantastic stay at Thon Hotel Slottsparken! We had a wonderful experience at Thon Hotel Slottsparken and would happily stay there again. The hotel is in a great location, very convenient for exploring Oslo, yet quiet enough to relax after a full day out. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is warm and welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff who made us feel at home. One of the highlights for us was the complimentary coffee and tea available in the lobby — truly a lifesaver after walking around in the freezing cold! It was such a thoughtful touch and made coming back to the hotel even more enjoyable. The breakfast was also excellent — rich, varied, and absolutely delicious, with plenty of options to suit every taste and a great way to start the day. First time in Oslo. This hotel has excellent location. It's 3 minutes from city centre and very close to all Oslo's attractions. The room was very nice, clean with all that you need. The hotel even has a small gym for full body workout. Very nice and super friendly staff. The breakfast was absolute DELICIOUS. One of the best I've ever had. You have choices of pretty much everything your heart desires. Everything is fresh and made to perfection.

Next to a loud construction site which runs also on weekends. Otherwise great no-frills hotel next to a train stop and walking distance from city centre. Good breakfast buffet. Only thing I was missing was some paistries or sweet baked goods at breakfast. Beds and pillows are great, wooden floors and clean bathrooms. Otherwise the rooms are very plain, which I deduct a star and the other star is because of the loud noise from the construction site, even on weekends. Bring earplugs. Will return once construction is finished.

Avoid: They charged me for a night they didn't give me. My flight was delayed, so I arrived the next morning instead of the night before. I was proactive and emailed the hotel immediately to confirm my delay and ensure they held my room, which I had already paid for in full. Despite having my money for that night, they told me upon arrival that no room was available and forced me to wait until 3:00 PM check-in. Essentially, they kept my payment for the first night but provided zero hours of accommodation. When I spoke to the manager, they refused to refund the night I couldn't use and didn't even offer an apology. This is effectively double-charging for the same room. Unprofessional and dishonest management.
