This property needs an update!!!

This property has bed bugs in room 515. We have stayed there three years in a room and this is the first time I have had a problem. The staff compensated but there is a lot of decon that has to be done once home after a bedbug exposure.

Beautiful view from every room and convenient location… everything in the Charleston area is within 20 minutes drive. Shuttle provided if you prefer. Restaurant is the draw on the 15th floor and parking is full in the evening as a result. Price is the best in the area for what you receive. Unfortunately, it is a dated hotel and not always well covered up. Pool and fitness area show their age and the rooms lack detail. This was probably amazing 30 years ago, now it’s ok. Biggest problem is the location. Leaving the hotel is dangerous at all hours due to a very short on-ramp the merges to a left lane at 55-85mph… foliage is not trimmed to help so your merge is a little over 50 yards if you’re driving a truck and have decent vision. Would not return.

The hotel service was great but the room itself needs attention. Build up grease/filth on air vents. Certain areas of the room specifically bathroom need a fresh coat of paint.

The bathroom really needs to be taken care of. No cover on top of the light bulb in the bathroom and rust all over the towel rack.

Personnel were amazing especially the female shuttle driver . The hotel needs SERIOUS updates

Got the job done.

Was an ok stay, but it is an older hotel, which shows in the details. old damaged furniture, dated decor, trim pieces peeling off. Breakfast was good, with a great view on top floor, but here as well, the vinyl on the seats were worn and peeling off. Most of these issues we noiticed are easily fixed. Be very careful exiting the hotel with your car. Very dangerous, right on to highway.

Hotel is close to downtown with a shuttle making it convenient. For the price, the hotel is pretty expensive considering the amenities. The hotel was clean just dated. Parking is fine, but pulling out of the parking lot the trees need to be trimmed to pull out into fast moving traffic you can’t see around the corner. Dangerous

Staff was friendly. They also provuded transportation downtown which was very nice. Did not care for the hotel restaurant

The property is located on the river. Nice view from my room on the 12th floor.

Good costumer’s service, clean.

The staff, location and view were all great! The front entryway created a bit of a challenge with the luggage carts.

In general, the hotel was okay. The cockroach wasn't every nice thing to see in your room before going to sleep.

We have stayed at this inn a number of times over the years. It’s an old in, so you can’t expect things to be perfect. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We could have used an easy chair, as there was only a desk chair. The location is great and you can’t beat the views. The ladies at the front desk were wonderful. The only disappointment was the grounds. There’s plenty of parking - a real plus in Charleston - but the parking lot needs work. Dead trees, unkempt greenery. There were nice plantings of flowers at the entrance. Since the inn is situated right in the highway at the bridge, you would think the owners would pay more attention to the lot.
