Historic hotel close to the Parliament Buildings and the Byward Market area and numerous eateries. The bed was comfortable and it was relatively quiet. Staff were all great ! The Valet parking was somewhat congested but understandable given we arrived the day before Canada Day. The pool at the hotel looked quite cloudy and the hot tub was also cloudy and possibly needed a cleaning. Did not use the hotel restaurant so I can’t comment on it

We loved our room and it had the most comfortable bed. Neither of us could believe how well we slept. The staff was also amazing!

The hotel is conveniently located to downtown Ottawa and the staff were fine. However, I found the rooms to be dark, dated, and they felt unclean. The hotel was undergoing renovations to the exterior and my small window was almost fully blocked by scaffolding. Ottawa was very hot and I felt the air-conditioning was not strong enough.

Two days and one night stay.

Our stay at the Lord Elgin, was one of our best hotel experiences. Thank you it was excellent across the board!

The property was nice and clean. The staff was helpful and the check in check out process was easy and fast.

Staff was very friendly. Service in the restaurant was a bit slow, but food was good. Great location and loved the shower!

Everything you want to see in Ottawa is walkable distance from the hotel. Great location. Hotel in general well maintained. Wallet staff were very curious and suggested to park at city hall if I don’t need to take out the car. That was a great suggestion. In case if you take out, it will add up quickly and exceed wallet parking. One Reception staff lady asked to check in at a different counter very rudely. She could have said it nicely. Rooms were maintained cleanly. Nice beds and pillows with tightly tucked beds. Other than reception incident, everything was great.

Renoa being down amd not mwntion till after i booked. Got a room that wasnt cool enpugh to sleep. Got too warm to break earliest morning sweats. Would of like to keep sleeping at that time.

Spent a few days in Ottawa with my teenage son. This hotel is perfectly located and walkable to museums and attractions. The hotel is quite beautiful and the room was well appointed. The pool and spa were lovely. Valet parking was perfect to get in and out easily. Highly recommend if seeing the sights of Ottawa.

Repeat customer. Very conveniently and centrally located on Elgin Street within walking distance to classic sights and hospitality district. Great hotel restaurant/bar with friendly bartenders and staff. Rooms are clean and quiet. Many international travelers. Accommodating for all.

This hotel has a great location right in the heart of Ottawa. There is a good restaurant on site. Just leave plenty of time for them to retrieve your car. It takes about 20 minutes.

The Hôtel is very old and unfortunately smells bad. I had a room on 2nd floor, when I checked in late night, first thing I saw on the floor was a roach , I was staying only for one night and too tired to go and complain about it. The room smelt too old and AC was not cooling down the small room. It’s time for a major renovation in the room . The only positive note is the location.
