My stay at Toftrees Golf Resort was disrupted by a group of people who were allowed to hold a barbecue party for two days (May 30 & 31) in the parking lot. They talked and laughed loudly, ran to and from the hotel, and played music at a high volume. My wife and I could not rest and were very annoyed by these disruptions.
I was told by front desk staff that they were construction workers that were living in the hotel. I don't know who gave them permission to disrupt the peaceful environment that anyone staying at a hotel would expect. Whether it be from Toftrees Management or Shaner, my wife and I feel that our experience was unbearable, especially coupled with the 2-day power outage. Hotel staff did not assertively communicate about what was happening to restore power and how guests could stay safe in their rooms.
