Overall, stay was very good. We had a newly renovated room which was nice. There was construction going on in the main lobby, but the directional signs were well laid out. We got down to breakfast at 9:30am and all of the hot food was gone, so a little disappointing. The bathroom door would stick which made it difficult to quietly open it and not disturb those who were still sleeping. The proximity to Ithaca College was very convenient. The person who welcomed us and checked us in was very friendly.

Friendly, helpful staff in a comfortable and quiet setting, while still very convenient to Ithaca proper! We've stayed here multiple times now, and always have a great experience. Rooms are spacious and welcoming.

I had a king suite with a balcony and fireplace. It hasn’t been updated since the 80’s and was filled with dust. Slept with the slider open during the winter to avoid a sinus infection. The bathroom had moisture stains and the ceiling was cracked with paint chips coming off. The spa jet tub was clearly from the 80’s and had permanent stains to prove it. Did not even use the shower because the bathroom reeked of mildew and there was no way I was stepping foot in that tub. The staff however was fantastic.

Everything was fantastic especially considering the hotel was under major renovations (which explains the only non 5 rating😊).

Loved the staff and the onsite spa. The room was spacious and well appointed. The fireplace and jetted tub were great. There is a nice little exercise room that has a treadmill, bike and eliptical. Bed was fairly comfortable but I wish there were a few nicer quality pillows

The rooms are so cozy and the facility is very non-corporate. I like the uniqueness of this hotel and the authenticity of the experience. The staff is real and friendly. The rooms all have a balcony which is so enjoyable a freeing. Unlike the stagnate claustrophobic feeling of corporate hotels that are so afraid of guests committing suicide they lock the windows shut, which feels insulting. The fact that there is a balcony is a sign of good health.

Fireplace room with jacuzzi tub was a real treat. Spa facilities are nice.

The property was under construction, but it didn’t make anything inconvenient. The desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Everything you could need was provided - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, shower cap, hair dryer, extra towels, coffee and cream/sugar, mini fridge, ice bucket, wine glasses, bathrobes; I don’t think I forgot anything. The fireplace was a great feature and definitely heats the place up. I took advantage of the jetted tub, which was nice. We both had a massage at the spa that was awesome! You get use of the sauna, which was lovely, and there is a steam room that is getting updated. The grounds are beautiful. We walked to the top of Buttermilk Falls, there’s gazebos, fire pit areas, ponds. I can’t wait to go back during the summer and check it out in all its glory.

We should have been informed prior or at time of booking, and offered some compensation for our stay being the fact that the property was under renovation - so a bit inconvenient arriving thru back and going down stairs with luggage . Continental breakfast was offered as compensation for this inconvenience and a $10 coupon for spa service -there was no full hot breakfast offerings/menu as well and no microwave in the room or water bottles /drinks . It was nonetheless clean , had a quaint library shelf wall and cozy fireplace along with a heated lamp light in the jacuzzi style bathroom.

The dining room was closed due to renovation but shopping and restaurants were 5 minutes away
