So the staff were lovely. But for a malmaison I thought it would be better, having never stayed in one before I dont think I would be rushing back. The room was neat and tidy, the bed was ok, but I was sitting in the chair and glanced down and the radiator was covered in thick dust and the wallpaper was torn, the hairdryer wouldnt go on to the second setting was just stuck at the first and took ages to dry my hair, I was also placed next to the lift so it was quite noisy and i was awoken by a neighbours alarm going off so not much sound proofing. The food was ok, again everyone raves about malmaison resturants, I got my starter and my drink hadn't even arrived, the chicken thighs to start were delicious but the main of swordfish had too much salt added. I also booked a deal I got sent through Expedia for a free cocktail when you booked to eat there and I got charged for that cocktail, even though I showed them the message. At this point I couldn't be bothered bringing it up again and just paid and left. I would maybe give one a try in a different city but not glasgow.

The room was a bit smaller than I expected, but it had all the amenities needed for a good short stay. Great tea & coffee, lovely bedding so overall very pleased. The location is great but the biggest asset by far was the lovely, helpful staff I had the pleasure to meet.

Our room had no external window. Felt very stuffy, no fresh air - it should have been advertised as having no external window. The room itself was not clean, my partner stepped on chewing gum in the bedroom in this socks. Room was dusty and not up to the normal Malmaison standard

Great continental breakfast, and bar area for evening drinks. Hotel was warm, quiet, and really well located for the western side of the city. Would stay again.

Beautiful building & lovely rooms. Unlike most hotel bars, the bar is a fantastic chilled space that I’d happily visit for a chilled drink of something nice. The only two negatives relate to noise - it’s an old building and the floorboards in the corridors are very creaky, so as soon as people start moving about in the morning you can hear them. Also, our room was at the back overlooking a loading area. Despite it being a weekend, both mornings of our stay there were very noisy food deliveries around 7.30am. I’m being picky here, exterior noise is always likely in a city centre hotel, but it did disturb the lie-in we’d wanted in such a lovely hotel.

The room was very dated, the floorboards were broken and the whole room was creaking. Every time anybody walked past you room it sounded like they were in the room with you.

The floorboards in the room were very creaky which disturbed our sleep. When we complained they said all the rooms on that floor and that lobby were all like that & the hotel was full so couldn’t move us anyway.
