This property is nice from the outside and in the lobby but the hotel is uncomfortably hot during the summer due to lack of air conditioning, and no fans are offered in the rooms. The room was terribly dated and there were multiple dark stains in the carpet. If cannot be cleaned it needs to be replaced. Telephones are dated, does not deserve 3 stars or to charge room rates at 3 star prices

It seems that previous reviews of this hotel were fake altogether. When I searched for this hotel online, I did a filter for only hotels containing air conditioning. This hotel arose in the search, so I booked it. It does not have air conditioning. The receptionist even laughed and admitted that there is often confusion about whether or not they have it at the hotel. Yet, the hotel has made no effort to clarity this important issue (it was 90 degrees in Berlin both days I was there). On to other issues, the condition of the hotel is very very old, without any updates/renovations whatsoever since it's post-WWII construction. My room literally had cobwebs in certain places, which demonstrates that housekeeping doesn't truly cleaning anything. I even noticed some cobwebs in their restaurant! All furniture is old, worn and dingy. My room had a mildew smell. The shower did not work properly. The toilet made a loud horn-like sound when it flushed. The bed was uncomfortable. The wireless internet worked maybe 25% of the time. And none of these issues weren't even the worst problem I encountered. The elevator broke the 1st day I was there so all of the older guests or guests with disabilities encountered an impossible time navigating up the hotels very steep stairs. Of course, as luck would have it, I was on the top floor as well, so hauling our luggage down those steep stairs was quite harrowing. There was no fan for the sweltering nights either.

We selected this hotel for the price and proximity to train-subway system. Offered free parking but DID NOT have free wifi in rooms, only in lobby and restaurant. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and they do provide a nice breakfast that's included in the price.

SensCity Hotel in Spandau is close to Spandau Hauptbahnhof, and has comfortable rooms, excellent staff and provides a delicious breakfast. It is an ideal base from which to explore Berlin and the surrounding area.

The room was comfortable. The location was further from where i had anticipated -even when locating by map ( via Google street map etc.) The reception staff were accommodating. The location was slightly desolate but Berlin is very spread out with patchy areas of "not much there" .- this can be OK at certain times i guess. This area, Spandau, is one of the city's oldest regions & fairly interesting for that. I was there for one night for a ZZ Top concert at the Zitadelle- a very interesting location , a classy setting for such an event. I was at the same location in 2009 - same reason , same band. Good Hotel, good show.

Loved our stay at this hotel. It was a little out of the way, but still within walking distance of the train station. A 15 min. walk to the main station, which took you through the old city of Spandau - very nice walk. Or, a 5 min. walk to the regular train station. From there just 20 min. to the center of Berlin. Great value at the hotel. IKEA store 2 blocks away served very good, inexpensive breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just check opening times.

Only positive thing was cleanliness in the room. There were many things not meeting the minimum expectations. No bath facility, no kettle, mini bar was facility was not complimentary, staff did not know English.I would not stay in that hotel again and would not recommend to any one.

Was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the other comments. Found all the staff pleasent and helpful, required umbrellas during our stay and an adapter and they were only too willing to lend us these items. Room very clean, heating adaptable only down side was there was no kettle or availability to make yourselves a hot drink in the rooms, but hot drink available in the lobby for free. The minibar was well stocked in the room. We had breakfast whilst we were there and although i thought a bit expensive at 8.50 euros they catered for everyone. Always plenty of hot water, clean towels as required. Was some building work going on around the hotel. hotel tucked away a bit but bus stop very nearby as was the S bahn. Overall a very pleasant stay, Berlin itself is expensive to living in East Anglia, England

Arrived at the Sorat hotel, looked alot better on the outside than i remembered from the pictures. Absolutely brilliant hotel. Nice and clean, very helpful staff. Didnt have the breakfast as was out the hotel early mornings and ate in Berlin. Great location, minutes from the train station, also a nice 10 minute walk to Spandau, which is lovely to look around. Ideal location as only 20 minutes on the train to the city centre, Berlins excellent transport links make this a great priced hotel thats still in the reach of the city and Potsdam. Good free WiFi connection too. I look forward to booking another stay at the hotel when me and my partner take a return trip to Berlin in the summer! thank you SORAT hotel for the lovely 5 days.

This hotel was within walking distance of a train station. Not a lot of public parking if you rented a car. Hotel does not have air-conditioning, so we ended up buying a fan. Breakfast at the hotel was not very good, but there is a great local bakery within walking distance. Hotel was quiet, quaint, the staff was friendly. Rooms and especially bathrooms were clean and organized. A big possitive aspect of this hotel was that convenience store, bakery, train station, parks, and major shopping was within walking distance.

Small hotel, super inexpensive, but well out of Berlin. 12 minute walk to S-Bahn or U-Bahn; then 25-minute ride to the Alexanderplatz. Very clean. Very friendly bilingual staff. Quiet neighborhood. Fine breakfast in the European manner for additional cost. Be mindful in high summer, this is Germany: No Air Conditioning. No Ice Machine. Terrific location if you want to be near the 1936 Olympic Stadium (2 stops on train line), or if you just want to save lots of money for other fun in Berlin.

This was a fairly nice, quiet, smallish hotel in the western part of Berlin (Spandou). It was a very short walk from Stresow S-Bahn station (5-10min), and thus very easy to get around despite being fairly far west. I would say all in all this hotel was very good value for the price.
