This hotel is so charming and the staff was very welcoming. If you’re into corporate slop, this is probably not for you. The breakfast was good, parking easy and affordable compared to places like The Westin. It’s like staying at the Haunted Mansion. The elevator is really cool. Easy to unload the car and get stuff up to our room even without staff to help. I’ve already booked another stay.

I have stayed at the Queen Anne many times and I’m always very happy to be there. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are always super clean. There is a wonderful Victorian character to the place. Highly recommended!

We loved our large corner room (214) because it was sunny and quite spacious even with two (very comfy) beds, thanks mainly to the 11-foot ceilings and the 5-windowed anteroom overlooking both Sutter and Octavia Streets. It provided a very nice sitting area for morning coffee or a sunset glass of wine. The ultra-Victorian decor was well done, and was both practical & fanciful. What a nice change of pace from typical modern hotel room decor! The antique wardrobe closet was a bit small, as was the modern bathroom, but both were fully adequate. The front desk staff were top-notch and welcoming. Beyond the entry lobby of the hotel is an expansive & beautifully-appointed pair of sitting rooms: old-fashioned, elegant and inviting parlors in which to socialize or just relax in front of one of the 2 or 3 fireplaces. Breakfast is served in another lovely, large room, and there's also some outdoor seating for when it's warm enough. The breakfast buffet is good, meaning adequate, but fresh-cooked eggs would sure be a welcome upgrade to only hard-boiled eggs and, imo, please substitute crisp bacon instead of mediocre & greasy sausage patties. We opted to go out for breakfast on two of our three mornings since SF has so many excellent delicious morning eateries. But the hotel buffet is just fine and SO convenient if you want to get a jump on the day. Given its lovely ambience, central location, and reasonable pricing, the Queen Anne is our go-to hotel in San Francisco.

This hotel has a tremendous amount of charm. It was fun to stay here just to look at the lovely decor and historical elements. The windows rattled in the wind and it took quite a while to get hot water from the bathroom tap. The room did not have a refrigerator. Those said, it was worth the stay and the price. Close to multiple restaurants in Japantown and close to where I needed to be. The hotel is beautiful!

Good location if you have car. Property itself is outdated and need serious renovation.

I really wanted to give this property 5 stars. The Victorian history, decor & anesthetic was wonderful. However, there were some maintenance opportunities, like loose windows that shook in the wind; water stopped during a shower & very low grade amenities, like toilet paper. Was just going to deduct one star for that, but the woman who works the front desk on the weekend nights was very rude when we tried to ask about airport transportation for the next day. Better service, amenities & breakfast quality would bump this stay to 5 stars in the future.

Gorgeous hotel close to the city. Not too many frills and the electricity in my room was a little wonky. Breakfast was not much to write home about but was free!

This Hotel was very convenient to where we needed to go in San Francisco. They served a decent continental breakfast and coffee, tea, and water was always available in the lobby area. They also have a computer with a printer available for customer use.

We did not stay the full night. I'm not really sure how to say this and I understand that the building is older. The ambience of course was really pretty. But the room? The bed was uncomfortable and sagged crazy so our backs were hurting. The shower was really short so my bf had to crouch to shower. The pillows had stains. The room was really stuffy. And even after all that, we were planning to stay. It wasn't until we did our final check of the door to our room that we noticed the door didn't seem to lock fully. Security is a big thing for me. Also, the parking is a parking lot across the street that was FULL with very few parking spaces. We had to drive around several times until we got lucky that someone left. How are y'all gonna charge for parking for that little parking lot!? Anyway, I wasted my money for one night here.
