We always stay here, it’s so convenient and fun!

Staff was friendly and informative. Comfortable and the ocean view was great. The restaurant and lounge area were comfortable and the food was wonderful. Could have used some fire pits outside other than at the restaurant and some games on the lawn like Corn-hole, or badminton, etc.. overall very satisfied and great for our budget.

I liked the ocean view rooms.

This is an older hotel. The bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but doable. The room was a bit cramped. We enjoyed our stay. We had requested a room with a balcony, however it was misleading, as the upper floor was a walkway, and not a balcony for the room. That's the case with nearly all the rooms here. We did have a large picture window facing the ocean, which was nice. But it wasn't what we'd anticipated, being able to sit outdoors on our own balcony with an ocean view. Which is why we chose this hotel.

Office closes at 10 so you can't cancel if you're running late they'll remind of of cancelation policy. Small pillows like airplane kind, hard bed and shower ran at a trickle. Had to use ice bucket to shower. Parking is narrow. For the price there are better options around.

Room has annoying smell like an old mens cologne and due that odor it feels like the room was dirty and I wonder if the blankets were clean at all feels like its not clean coz I itch a little bit. NO MICROWAVE close to.the beach.

The rooms were clean and cozy. Lived that we showed up late, caught the boxing match at the attached sports bar m, also sang karaoke all night, had a few drinks, walked down to the beach and back to the room. Very convenient and affordable

Beautiful heated swimming pool. Lots of green grass and palm trees give the place a spacious look. Nice restaurant with view of ocean.

Soft bed. Ocean view isn’t as close as it appears in photos. But, quiet peaceful stay except for drunks arguing at 3 am in the parking lot.

Mattress was so soft we rolled into the middle like an air mattress going flat but other than that it was a great stay. Loved the room, restaurant and location. Had a king room with a slider out to the pool area. Included a tiny private patio. Short walk down to the beach. Will definitely return.

The host who greeted us was friendly and a clear communicator. For the price, the room was fine. Smelled a bit musty, but open windows took care of that.

Quiet location and a short walk to the beach

We stay here often. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, the staff is awesome. Definitely recommend San Simeon Lodge for an affordable getaway!

needs a/c rooms are stuffy

Nice location, close to beach and Hearst castle. No Air conditioner, no microwave in the rooms. Property is dated but fairly clean.
