Located near the center city, Hotel Burdigala provides a quiet refuge from Bordeaux site seeing. Some of the front desk staff were helpful during our three day stay and the restaurant staff proved unfailingly pleasant. The hotel gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and served delicious breakfasts and nice afternoon light food at the bar when needed. From there it was an easy walk to a tram to visit city sites. Excellent room maintenance. My advice would be to avoid a room with a flat corner shower with no enclosure in the bathroom, since morning showers sent water pretty much all over the bathroom floor. The bathroom was spacious but lacked any kind of storage cabinet or small stand to hold toiletries. We enjoyed our stay there.

The rooms are quite nice, especially the quality of the furnishings. There are several room types, including a townhouse style room. Staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. The downside is the restaurant in the bar. Poor selection of food and not well prepared; very slow service. They are closing for renovation in January; Possibly the restaurant will change? There is also a high end restaurant on the property but they were booked when we were there.

The guest rooms are gorgeous; we have stayed there twice during our stay and they have many room types, Best to inquire before booking to match your needs; very clean with nice room amenities. Extremely helpful and pleasant staff.

The room was luxurious, welcoming and incredibly comfortable. We loved the bed, linens and all the space for us and our belongings. It was quiet and a relaxing to be in our room. The shower was a small challenge given the smoothness of the very deep bathtub. It was not easy to stay warm while washing our body and the open-air shower.

Excellent hotel, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Madame B is an outstanding restaurant. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The bar staff is very cool. The room was clean and had plenty of room. The rain forest shower was the best. Hotel is well located, with many things in walking distance.
